I'm very proud of our community for voicing their concerns regarding the use of AI on PMC, and I'm excited to celebrate real-life, human artists with you guys moving forward!
I'd like to extend an apology to our users who feel as if this change to the rules should have happened a long time ago. As someone who has been against AI-use for a long time, I share in your frustration. Most of the decisions made by PMC are made as a joint effort, after a lot of internal discussion by our moderation team. I believe we make better choices when we work as a team, but sometimes it takes a little longer for us to reach the answer we believe is best for the community. Bear with us!
AI is still pretty new, and our rules will almost-definitely need to adapt and grow to meet new challenges as they're presented. Please keep sharing your thoughts on the subject! Make use of our tickets section to suggest rewrites or clarifications to the rules, send a private message to your local site developer, or just scream it all out on a wall post. You guys drive more change than you know.
