Sorry! Having ran servers for about 2 years now, I already have solid staff members set for the server. Wouldn't hurt to play on the server still, though!

Your starter cannot have a hidden ability at the beginning of the game.

I enjoy my Aegislash quite a bit, and I also hear Talonflame is good competitively (due more to his hidden ability).

Froakie is definitely one of the best, even when not using it's hidden ability just based off of it's speed. Also the Torchic will be available, until January 15th, so use him too!

Once you progress enough into the tutorials there, you should search for other sources of modding tutorials as these can be pretty basic.
