For some reason I can't pm so here is what you need to do:
1. download the server .exe from
minecraft.net (assuming you use a windows PC)
2. create a folder and place the .exe in there.
3.Go to this site
http://bukkit.org/ and download the latest recommended build of craftbukkit. (I would wait until after the update)
4. create a text file and depending on what java you have (32-bit or 64-bit) write:
for 32-bit:
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
"%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
PAUSE
for 64-bit:
@ECHO OFF
SET BINDIR=%~dp0
CD /D "%BINDIR%"
"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar
PAUSE
5. Place both craftbukkit and the text file in the server folder
6. Rename the text file
run.bat7. double click it
The rest is dependent on what plugins you have but I would be glad to help.
If you need any clearing up just tell me
(To install plugins download the jar file and put it in the plugins folder)
