I also would like to know who made this DMCA complaint. I had the worst feeling where I finished a skin for a friend, then the moment I hit the download button, the website was acting up due to the DMCA. And no, the skin didn't download. I would actually be furious if a normal, casual user made this DMCA complaint capable of turning off an entire skin making website for almost 2 weeks now. I also had put skin requests aside and remake some of my skins. Also, saying that you can't copyright minecraft skins, is almost like saying you can't copyright code.

Yeah I've pretty much moved on from Skindex. Here, there's more to it than just making skins. Plus I've gotten used to the skin editor here.

Skindex.pro is somehow available, but not in the way you'd expect. You can at least download posted skins, but you can't login nor edit/post skins because of DMCA disabling those options.

As of this reply, it's been 6 days since maintenance started.

Felt that cause I literally finished a skin after putting a lot of detail in, and Skindex went under Maintenance as soon as I tried to download the skin.
If you also leave a skin alone on the website for a long time, some pixels on the skin will be erased.

Did some research, DMCAs seem to take about a week or two before getting a result. Could be wrong, but some sites say they get taken down within 72 hours, which didn't happen with Skindex. I'll still be checking on the Skindex each day.

Found Planet Minecraft through finding inspiration for creating skins. I made this account recently because Skindex is facing a DMCA complaint, which made the site go under maintenance for god know how long.

I don't always go far into the world of minecraft whenever I play survival. By that I mean venturing deep into, say, the nether for example. But to me, creepers make the early game a pain to get through, especially on the first night.
