You can. Place the commandblock and command is /ban @p then use a PRESSURE PLATE to activate it, and then place the soon to be banned user on the pressure plate and make sure no one else is near him.
Try checking your paulscode folder. Windows path: /%appdata%/roaming/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar <STOP HERE> Extract your minecraft.jar into a folder. Find the "Paulscode" folder. Check those files.
