SirBlobmanCurrently you have both Optifine in the folder, this will crash Minecraft
Like FEX___96 said, you can make different folders for seperate versions
SilverKyttenI realize you're probably not wanting a bunch of mods, but if you have any interest in downgrading to 1.7.10, I can set you up with a modpack that has a BUNCH of furniture and decoration mods that are amazing for building with, as well as help you mod your private server.
Although, depending on what you've been building with, downgrading may not be possible.
FEX___96I have a mod with a few furniture blocks... it's for 1.10.2 though (and most versions bellow till 1.7.10)

Vanilla blocks which are new in 1.10, would disappear when loading the world in 1.8.
If it's about mods, it depends if the older/newer mod version has the same blocks, Forge normally warns you incase a world contains blocks which aren't in your currently installed mods, to don't load (and as result delete all blocks from) that world.
