Of course, this mod was only adding some new swords from different movies/games/anime and crafting materials for those swords, so it was relatively simple compared to some more popular mods, but not simple as in the way the rules described a simple mod. The description of a simple mod in the PMC submission rules directly says "These submissions are mods that do not add new functionality to Minecraft, or simply add functions designed to allow cheating. Mods such as new tools, ores, mobs, or recipes for things like diamonds generally fall into this category if they are not adding something new to the game."

Always make sure you provide links to previous work that you've done. Also, if possible, if you have some references (people that you've done work for in the past), have them provide a bit about what it was like having you do work for them.
