I have a question for anyone on here who does theater, specifically crew but if cast can answer feel free if you know, are your stage managers not involved with crew really? Like maybe it’s a dumb question and I’m sure it’s different everywhere but like on TikTok for example I see so many school theaters joke about the stage manager having to tell the prop master that they broke something or joking about what happens when they help build the set but like, at my school the stage manager is usually ALSO the “prop master” and like they have to come on weekends to help with crew as well as be at rehearsals with cast and all the stage managers for at least while I have been here either started with or have done crew at some point even if they usually do cast like my friend whose stage managed a few times they usually do tech or help with tech at some point I feel like it’s an unsaid requirement here at least for stage manager

im just wondering because i find it interesting

something that really annoys me is when teachers do not pass back or have a way for you to get assignments you’ve done cause sometimes those assignments actually help me with studying

my sapphic yearning book didn’t have an epilogue and i’m not okay about that

I really hate when teachers thing that a video where they are very monotone as they talk over a white blank PowerPoint is enough to teach a subject enough for their student to understand the topic enough to complete a lab and an assignment all in the same class without homework

anyway this is day 10 of me realizing ap bio was a mistake and I was sold propaganda from the people who took it last year (but it won’t be a mistake once I get those 10 credits at the end of the yearrrrr)

pro tip: do not take five ap classes and do not stage manager and be the only stage manager on top of those five aps and just never seem to get enough sleep all at once you will want to cry everyday after school

I’ve come to accept the fact I’m going to be a broke starving artist the rest of my life but I’d rather be fulfilled in my career and poor than miserable in my career and rich which isn’t a good mindset to have in this capitalistic society we live in but i could care less

this week sucks actually

rehearsals canceled because of the weather think of all
the procrastinating I can get done instead of doing homework this is great

highly recommend taking a art history class maybe it’s because I’m taking it ap and it’s different in college but I’m having so much fun I love art and history and art history

I feel like I have learned close to nothing in ap bio so far anyone who has taken it before is this normal or am I cooked

I wanna complain about my school not having the ac on and how hot it is but I keep reminding myself that there are places in the world with no ac at all to keep my mouth shut

Currently struggling writing a personal statement for ap lit rn because I think talking about self in this way is cringe

thinking about making a new instragram account for my art that I’m actually active on and blocking anyone I know irl from it but also I know I still will barely post on it but I shall ponder
