GASSYPOOTSi had dug a hole over 900 meters down... i put a torch on the wall and see some lapel lapiz near me. i pick up by diamond pickaxe and start digging. i turn around and start walking to base camp about 500 meters above me.

1 block is 1cubic meter. so there is no chance of you going down 900 blocks.
