Also, am I allowed to make a port of the PBL to an app called skinseed?
I will be creating a completely new palette for each season and it will be invite only.
The judges and owners of PBL from here can moderate it and help/restrict it.

You'll need the map creator's permission, if you really want personalisation, get a builder to make it with you.

Paint.net and then conversion of transparency with gimp (for mac)
Paint is easier for starting, I actually used Procreate for iOS to create a wonderful texture pack, but it doesn't support transparency either.

Have you installed the mod codechickencore? I'm alright with crash reports and think you're missing it, I may be wrong though.

I could, but you would need mod owner permissions, mod configs would mean constant fixes no matter who makes the pack.
