I don't think there was any reason to be rude about it. In all honesty, reality is this. Almost every owner of a company has other people doing their work for them. CEO's have to make decisions as like, downgrading, firing etc but even when that happens, they have someone else do the firing. The poster wasn't being a "dick" about anything at all, now if the server starts taking donations and the "owner" is not contributing into a new server host etc, THEN that would be a problem.
