Why do you want to join ShadowCraft? I want to meet new friends and work together to have an enjoyable experience on MC. It's a great feeling to work together in the Minecraft world.

Suggestions for community projects/events (if you are accepted): Like Petrdiv said, maybe a UHC event every week (for funsies) or start a faction in another server, do mini-games together, etc.
Do you plan to stream and/or record Youtube videos on the SMP (if so, please provide your channels/streams so we can monitor your content)? I most certainly would, if I were not restricted by cheap equipment. I can't afford very nice gaming pc's and I can't buy PS4's on the regular.
