My old laptop was running integrated graphics. I'm now running an AMD 8-core and It's pretty sexy.

Dual cores work if the game is the only thing your running, but if your running steam, chrome, teamspeak, skype, etc. with a dual core cpu, you might run into some lag on your games. I wrote something much better that didn't look like complete shit, but PMC decided to delete it for me. Also, if you don't believe me, I had a dual core cpu. I had like 4-6 GB ram, which even with 4 GB of ram, running windows, minecraft, and a skype call should not lead me to 20 fps in minecraft.

Pro tip. Dual-core isn't worth it. For $600 (excluding the gpu and optical drive) I think you can at least get an AMD quad-core. And while AMD processors suck at single-threaded games, It's still better than any dual core.

Lol, your complaining about wires. I have a bit too many wires in my setup and I'm pretty okay with it.

    Chromebook charger
Desktop PC (thats alot of wires including mouse/keyboard)
    Headphones
    Xbox 360 w/ external HDD
Xbox One w/ kinect and wired controller
    Lamp
    Iphone charger
    Fan
HDMI's (from my pc, xbox one, xbox 360 to my monitor)
Broken headphones that have zero use sitting on my floor

As long as you do it well, the wires aren't an issue. Just try to put everything behind your desk and put the things that don't need to be right next to you (like fans and stuff) in different outlets on the other side of your room.

Whenever I get a nasty virus I wipe my harddrive clean and reinstall windows. Search for it on your computer, it's something like resetting your pc to factory settings.

1.8 screwed me over also, I usually get a good 100 frames or so, but now I fluctuate between 40-100 with random frame drops and an average of a much lower fps. They probably screwed up the little optimization that the game has. It's like DayZ all ogre again.

I believe the issue is that you have two worlds clashing together and creating... that.

If all your doing is playing minecraft on it, just buy a $500 laptop. Much easier & portable! My old laptop (i got a gaming pc now) ran minecraft perfectly fine. Just make sure you get an intel i5 processor (with at least like 2.5 ghz) and 6 gb ram.

I usually average around 200 FPS. I'm also getting my new graphics card soon so I can run shaders at more than 30 fps.

    AMD R9 255 GPU

    12 GB RAM

30 FPS on lowest settings if I'm lucky...

The GPU can still run BF Hardline smoothly. Better than my laptop. Your telling me that Intel HD Graphics 4000 is better than the R9 255? That's
BS. I can play games much better than on my laptop (at least for games like Battlefield).

I can honestly say with 100% accuracy that Intel Graphics cards are not what you want in a computer made for gaming.

    I know. That's basically what I said.

Most FX series CPU's don't have Integrated graphics. Normally only APU's/Intel/ and older AMD pre apu's.

@OP Your GPU is complete crap, upgrade it to anything better. The reason you got more FPS on your laptop? Because the r9 255 (OEM only card) is a horrible, horrible card.

also, as said above, update your drivers, you should be getting decent frames on it, but it's still a crap card. And why are you tired of AMD? You said you know nothing about computers, but now you're tired of them because you don't research computers before you buy? That's kinda unfair to AMD..

May be better, I dunno, it's a crappy OEM card, and I can't find the specs anywhere? It's not your CPU, it's your GPU.
I never said it wasn't a bad card, but it's miles better than what I had. I should be getting better performance than my laptop and I'm not. If updating my drivers doesn't work, I don't know what the issue could be apart from the CPU because AMD has horrible single-thread support, and from what I've been told, Minecraft is single-threaded.

If nothing seems to work, I'll ask bestbuy to replace it my PC due to the possibility of it being defective. I believe I have the latest Java version, how can I check and downgrade? And what Java should I downgrade too? Thanks.

Looks like I'll take the R9 270X. Just tired of AMD. But oh well.
