Windows seems more famous and recognized. Windows presents ease in terms of mundane tasks, and also looks more widely preferred throughout businesses and homes alike. More apps also seem to like to work on Windows. I personally use Windows for my daily computer workings, but wait!!! Hear me out on Linux as well!
I like the fact that Linux is open-source and the terminal is very flexible. Need to update apps? All you have to do is type into the terminal "sudo apt-get update" (or something along those lines) and voila! Installing software is also doable from the terminal. I also like the feel of Linux distros, even if it's not as fancy as Windows.
So, there's my thoughts!
Edit: I forgot to include that I use the Linux distribution called Ubuntu for my raspberry pi 4, and I host my own private Minecraft server on it!
