What if roses were stackable, so you could make like a Rose fort and like they had the same effect as cacti? Then you can use Rose bushes to protect your home instead of using cacti.

Re-downloading minecraft won't solve your problem, go into the minecraft folder itself and delete the contents (you will lose mods/textures). This will wipe minecraft completely. You will need to re-open minecraft to have the basic folders in your minecraft folder downloaded again. That should work out for you....
