    Well, first of all, your specs aren't bad at all. The video card could be upgraded, but it's more than adequate for most games. My recommendation is to backup your files on an external drive, format the hard drive, and then reinstall windows. Make sure you install a firewall and antivirus like Comodo, and then reinstall your programs that you use regularly. I do this every 6 months or so to keep my pc running smoothly. If you don't want to do that much, try scanning your pc with an antivirus. Also, if you run windows in classic mode without the windows 7 graphics, you'll take some of the load off of your graphics card, allowing your games and programs to use more of it's gpu and vram. These might get you by, but in my professional opinion, I strongly recommend a fresh install. It's far more thorough and effective.
