Too wordy, kind of dumb. I mean, I get that it was supposed to have this ethereal feel to it, but it came off as really pretentious and sort of pseudo-spiritual, and just made the event of soloing the Enderdragon seem sort of dumb.

As a note : someone should work on a mod to go with the HD Texture mod and the Water Mod and all this. But it can't be that hard to make it so that your Minecraft recognizes skins with 000000 as transparent... And if someone has an all black, textureless skins, at which, they deserve not to be seen.

    3/10. Seems really simplistic.

I'm not sure if we're talking a real philosophy, or just how people think life began. But for the hell of it, I'm a fan of the Big Bang Big Crunch model, that explains that the universe reaches just under the point of entropy, where the matter in the universe is still in motion, but has slowed enough that the central point can begin to form again, pieces of matter falling in until a massive crunch happens again and then so forth. I think that's a very plausible explanation, not to mention has some fascinating implications.

Life on earth, we have a rough understanding of. Basic atoms formed acids, and continued to break apart until a few stable ones finally formed. And so on and so forth upwards. I'm not going to debate evolution. It's a scientific fact.

Theistically speaking, I am an agnostic atheist. I do not believe in god. In fact, I strongly doubt the concept of god as we imagine it, and I outright reject the concept of an earth-centric god, because it is amazingly self-centered to think that a universe as massive as ours, a planet as overall meh, a species as overwhelmingly meh as ours, would be the chosen people of such a god, regardless of what form it takes. That said, it's not currently possible to know, and so I don't outright discredit the possibility.

The purpose of life, near as I can tell, is progressive improvement. We will not b here forever. A man smarter than I once said we wake for a short while, move through and learn about the universe, and then we rest and go back to sleep. It's sad, but there you go. So, I feel it is our duty to work toward improving our society and our world for future generations, to prevent the problems of today falling on the heads of the young in thirty years, or so forth.

    Mineflare's Steampunk Vampire Slayer.

I guess I'll start from the head and work my way down. First of all, the shading, is just fine, so there isn't much worry there, except for a few places where the faces don't match from one side to the next. The face is unremarkable, bordering on kinda boring. Now, granted, the steampunk contest has been pretty liberal with the application of scars and wonky head gear. Which, incidentally, leads us to your headgear.

Now, I like the idea of the goggles, but I've got two big problems. One, the goggle is floating above your head without actually making contact. Which gives an unpleasant visual effect of the goggles floating around your head, making it appear to be some kind of low hanging halo, and the grey thing (gears?) gives basically no additional flare.

The next thing is the legs. I get the belt is laying right on his hips, instead of his waist. It's a common thing, and in the last month or so, I realize I've done the same thing. Poor practice on two fronts. One, you don't wear a belt on your hips. You wear it on your gut, which, on model, is approximately lines 3 and 4 from the bottom of the torso section. I wouldn't bring it up, except that when the legs move, and if the body is view from any low angle, an unfortunate effect happens. The belt 'splits' and you can see the robes(?) between it. Now, if this is supposed to be a double belt, that'd be one thing, but that doesn't appear to be the intent here. My last problem, is that the vampire hunter looks less like a vampire hunter and more like a particularly religious handiman.

The thing is, when it comes right down to it, this is a perfectly good skin. It just doesn't look anything like what you're going for. I feel kinda bad, but that's my honest opinion, man. Like I said, great skin, but just... not what I'd call a Steampunk Vampire Hunter. Great idea, but not really executed. Not executed poorly, which would be one problem. But it's a good execution of something that just wasn't the initial idea.

    Dagorex's Billy skin

Now, this skin fits with the minecraft tone. Not so much in it's actual theme, but in how the shading is done. It's weird to explain, exactly. It's not shaded in what one would typically call a good way, but it just... looks like a Steve. Some might mean that as an insult, but I don't. I like it.

Now, I have a few nitpicks. One. The boots and feet are perfectly flat on a skinwith a lot of noise detail, which really throws the eye for a loop. Now, as a note of detail, or, a few, rather. The jacket is unquestionably straight, with absolutely no tapering or flowing open or closed, which immediately clashes with the visual representation of the random buttons down the front of the jacket.

Next. The mask. First and foremost, the goggles seem like they should be raised from flat to the head, given they're supposed to have a major effect on his vision. The top of the mask is... well, confusing, to me. It just kinda looks like... Well, I don't really have anything to compare to. It's just kinda... flat and squarish and weird. Also, where the face is exposed, particularly around the rear right panels, the way it lays is almost too clean, at least to my eye.

Lastly, the jet pack. I really feel like it's just sitting on his back without any sort of brace. Now, I won't suggest what I'd do, because that would make it my skin, not your skin. And we ARE making YOUR skin here. But as it stands, it lacks any real connection to the body, aside from being there. It looks less like a back pack and more like a logo. Nextly, the coloration is a little... well, you ever hear the Teal and Orange phenomena? Yeah. You're doing THAT in spades. I dunno if it's intentional, but the blue of the water is too vivid, and the orange of the bronze (I assume, although I guess it could be a glass case of lava) are a bit too bright, and look less like water and bronze, and more like coolant and some indescribable orange mess. I'd really work the coloration and shadows differently.

    Hope that helps, sir.

This one comes with a massive story. But I'm not pasting it here. Because that would be immensely rude.

Maturity(1-9): 2. Literally, just two. I mean. Dear lord. I am a friggin' child.
Grammar(1-9): I'm gonna have to say about a seven. Maybe more like a 9, sometimes less. Who knows. Kinda hard. This is a really weird scale.
Being able to work with Others: I am building a server as the lore writer. Where I am not always - read, usually - listened to.

Here is the trick. I'd actually like to be a writer or director, if you are doing a narrative. I'm not much of an actor, truth be told.

I made a couple small touch ups. I couldn't decide on how to go about it, but this is the happiest I've been on this one. On the one hand, I am worried that it's unusual nature with the rest of competition puts me at odds. On the other hand, I think the fact that it's not brown, bronze or blue might be my strongest asset.

    So we'll just see.

@Ter - I never saw the post personally, so I apologize for that. I offered my own thoughts on the matter, but I don't think it ever saw any commentary. So, meh. But considering we have that level system that is contingent, in part, on votes, then yeah, that's a problem. Personally, I don't think up/down voting should be linked to XP.
