So yeah… apparently making whirlpools somehow got me back into maths again

I’ve been messing around with functions, curves and all that kind of stuff to get some of these shapes working properly, and after a lot of testing I’ve finally ended up with a bunch of whirlpools that I’m actually really happy with

There are quite a lot of them now, with different shapes, depths and styles, so I think the actual creation part is going pretty well

Now I mostly need to sort everything out into a proper bundle, paint them in a few different variants, clean things up a bit, and then I should be able to release it

Still some work to do, but it’s definitely getting there

This is actually my first wall post. I never really knew what to post here, but I just discovered the feature, so I thought I might use it from time to time when I have something to share

For a first post, I mostly wanted to say thank you

We’re now over 130 followers, with more than 37,000 views, 5,000 downloads, 200+ diamonds and favorites, and so many kind comments. Seeing people genuinely enjoy my maps and support what I create means a lot to me

I originally started building because I wanted to help a Minecraft community I was part of, and we simply didn’t have a builder. So I became one by default... and my first builds were honestly pretty terrible

I kept going though, learned little by little, and while I definitely wouldn’t call myself an amazing builder today, I’m happy with how much I’ve improved and even happier that some people enjoy what I make

I also recently started experimenting with paid maps, and I know that can be a bit controversial in a game built so much around sharing

So for most of my future projects, I’m thinking of doing something like this: release the first version for free and keep it available for a while. Then, months or even a year later, if I decide to come back to the project, I’ll make a proper full rework, fixing reported issues, improving everything I can, adding new content and using everything I’ve learned since the original release. That upgraded version may then become paid for people who want the improved map and also want to support my work

Whether there were 130 people following my work or just one person enjoying a map I made, I’d already be happy. So seeing this much support genuinely means a lot
