Corection. My dad owns it xD

He doesn't own Mojang, Minecraft, or Bukkit in any form or fashion. And your server's 1 GB... You can pay for that. Anyone can pay for that.

Edit: You're getting ripped off, bro. Try GG Servers. Not trying to advertise, but they're much more economical for what you're trying to do.

    pokemonboy21Wait schduchdscjn what!

You just said the rich should run servers. I smell corruption

I'm not rich, bro. And I'm not saying you have to be rich. I'm implying that you have a job. That's all you need to run a decent server without donations.

SackboyrocksIt's obvious the guys who like the EULA aren't server owners dedicated to their work. The EULA is indeed wrong, as it's intent is the kill off servers and have is switch to realms.

Sweetheart, check my profile. I have a server.

While I certainly don't disagree with the EULA, I do have some issues with how they've gone about it. Mojang created this situation, putting themselves at loggerheads with the server community. Mojang did not release their product initially with a proper multi-player capability. They introduced Realms years after many servers had established themselves. Servers were largely encouraged by Mojang through their inaction, while Minecraft gained much of its exposure on the backs of others.

I'm not going to dispute the fact that this is Mojang's game, and they solely should be profiting from the fruits of their labour. I do however think, they're pushing the boundary of business ethics by allowing a community of this size to gain a foothold, only to do a 180, and try to disassemble what millions of people have built. This will be an adaptation with a fierce resistance, and is likely to reflect poorly on Mojang in t he long run. Hopefully they've learned from this. I would suspect it is largely due to their inexperience with publicity/games of massive following. They won't make this mistake when/if they ever produce another game of this caliber.
