Do you have access to an Ethernet cable? If you do, I would highly recommend that over wifi cards, you will have better ping(in most cases). It isn't that hard to wire one through a wall or 2!

I'd make sure you have the right email set once you get back into the mojang site. Also, mojang support takes 1-2 weeks to respond so good luck.

Unfortunately, The minecraft market is pretty saturated with free templates and full websites for people to use. Have you ever thought about doing enjin designs? Enjin is really powerful and you can make some cool looking sites and modules. The community is huge and very supporting. I'm sure you could get a couple sites that you can add to your portfolio.
