My timelapses must all be reverse-timelapses then! My building, even with planning (which is rare!), is horribly slow.

This is really cool, Disco. I'd love to help out! I have just sent in my application and I hope you (and the rest if there are others to help select builders) find me suitable.

It may also be a plus that my redstone skills are comparable to that of a gerbil drinking gatorade.

    Which is a potato.

To upload a project, you'll either need to compress your world so that you can upload it onto a file sharing site (i.e. Mediafire) and place that link in the "World Download URL" at the bottom of the page,

    or

you can use MCEdit or Single Player Commands to make a schematic. Schematics can be uploaded to PMC with just the "UPLOAD FILE" function next to the "MCEdit Schematic" text at the bottom of the page again.

You can upload either or both, it doesn't really matter as long as you provide some download.

To compress your world with a mac, just right click and click Compress. Your save world folder should be there still, but a new file should appear with the same name but different look with a .zip in front of it. If you are not sure where your world saves are, it's actually just in the Minecraft folder. If you're not sure where your minecraft folder is, use the spotlight function to help you.

haha, I'm just going to make another survivor. Hopefully the design is somewhat distinct as compared to the other survivor skins.

My sketch for my contest skin looks nice, but I doubt my skin version will do it justice.

It might just be another interactive book series since I'm no comic artists, actually. haha.

Drawing people's heroes and villains can be pretty demanding, it's all pixelated and I may mix up the details!

Well..."Interactive" in a sense that you'll be able to turn pages by clicking the next button function.

Gray Coat is a bit quiet- almost to a point to where I can call her mute. However, she'd probably be thinking, "Thank God I have these goggles." towards The Locust anyways. Thinking more about meeting Exeter, I accidentally made a whole new plot with him and my character, along with my unannounced one as well. haha.

With my origins story, it'll be months before I move on to another series anyways. Drawing complete artworks, even with minimal colors, will be so time-consuming...but worth it in the end, probably. haha.

I'd imagine my hero, Gray Coat, finding The Locust to be so outrageous with his bright outfit, and judge Exeter for his mask and go all philosophical on him or something.

I think I like the post-apocalypse idea the best. One vote from me!

Yup, because if you got it out there, there's no use holding it back any more.

I feel as if I may continue my hero's story after her origins are released. Who knows? Maybe I'll try to do a crossover comic series where I make small strips of my hero's reactions and interaction with other heroes and possibly villains. She's so introverted that I have to poke fun at her. Haha

btw, why have you only made part one of your comic series available on this thread? Your other parts have already been released.

Oh, and congratulations at inspiring others to create comics. I've been seeing people considering it a lot more recently! c:

Actually, mine will be like little (interactive) books for each episode rather than the traditional comic. c:

Congratulations to everyone, especially spacemonkiee for his "The Locust" submission!

I'm quite surprised my character got 21st, just inching at the top 20 mark! Thanks to the judges for giving my skin some consideration. I think I'll be making a special blog post later about my skin. It won't be a "Thanks!" post, but an actual special blog. c:

My suggestion for the next theme would be something related to the military. Whether a general or a tank, I want to see what people can do on a skin with a very detailed subject. c:

Of course, my question was more of a remark.

That's the general of selecting a judge: critical, unbiased, and most of all, professional (or good in that certain skill for this case). People always try, there is never a case where people haven't put in effort.

Or calculating their grading chart, who knows?

It is nice knowing that the results are near, though! However, it's been like this for the past few hours! When is Judge #3 going to be done? :T

Well, it depends on a certain group in the community: those who are interested in skins. So, it'd be about a couple thousands at most if we were talking about the amount of active people because we all know not all 350,000 members are here often. c:

While community vote is important, it only highlights those few submissions. We have always had 100 finalists in our skin contests, and that is why community votes aren't too influential to the choosing of finalists.

Judges are chosen because they normally have sharper senses than the general crowd, so pleasing them might be harder in reality.

I wonder when the 98% from Judge #3 will pass and the contest will finally be over. :T

Well, those are the natural guidelines of being a judge of a competition where submissions are graded anyways. haha.

I think its more of the acknowledgements or recognition people desire rather than creating a skin, and this is something most don't realize themselves either. I see it as: creating a satisfactory skin, failing to reach the requirements, seeking attention (intentional or not) by being mad! The End.

Oh, y'know...some people don't like or know the word, "Self-Development" or the phrase "I like this, but I can do better".

It's a bit obvious judges are the heavier factor when there is normally a comment from Happybandaid on every Top 100 skin submission too.

Art is subjective, after all. Heh, three lectures, one including mine. That's what you get for complaining in a contest: lectures!

After the submission period ended, I never once thought of getting into the Top 100. I don't really advertise either. So, it came as a pleasant surprise to me when the list was released and my skin was there.
