You could use a internal server in your own computer if the people u play with are trustworthy (because that will expose your ipv4 ip adress) but if you dont wanna take that risk, aternos.org is a great solution I've had fun times with my friends hosting servers there, it's a shame that the aternos servers don't run 24/7, you need to turn it on in the dashboard, but then again, I don't think your personal computer (or anyone's) would be a good dedicated server as well (you need a server computer for that) it also wouldn't run well in 24/7 if you left it to do so and it would waste your electricity bill. At the end of the day the choice is yours, they both do the same thing except that aternos doesn't expose your ip. one of my aternos servers got deleted so heads up to that, but if u have backup its fine. sorry for the extremely long message btw, cya
edit: if you host a cracked server in aternos and access the console log while the server is running you can see the ipv6 ip adress of other people that join your server. this doesnt happen if it isnt cracked however.
