Sounds to me like you need to re-train the algorithms of your feeds by a lot, because I primarily follow creative builders and such and I've not heard a peep about it until now. It's probably something that went viral because of some tiktoker or other that's decided to go on a rant and now everyone remotely adjacent to them in the algorithm's views is getting bombarded with it.

Honestly the fact that it sticks out compared to sandstone is something I see as a positive, as that means you can have distinct 'areas' in a build based on sandstone without giving up the core 'cream' palette.

I used to hate acacia with a similar fervor, but honestly I've seen people use it incredibly effectively. It all depends on how you use it.

Or, to put it in what passes for slang these days: It's a skill issue.

Do people hate birch? I mean, I've not noticed this attitude at all, but maybe you move in different circles than I.
I do remember way back before the 'new' textures, when people thought birch logs looked really ugly, but since the newer textures that's really not been an issue.

If you want to stick to the naming scheme that's popular for DS-derived fan content, something like Audio Souls might work.

AI will reach that point if we keep feeding it, and it won't be able to create 'new' art, just reinterpretations of existing art. It cannot recreate an art style that it has never seen (if I were to develop an entirely new art style from scratch on pen and paper, and never upload images, the only way to get an AI to recreate it is to describe it in absolute, pain-staking detail, to the point that it might be easier to write a program to create it manually rather than train the AI.

I really need to start using Glaze and Nightshade on images I upload.

Anyway, right now we're also running up against a hardware limit. AI as it currently stands is effectively being 'brute-forced', using massive amounts of processing power that makes bitcoin mining look like a dude with a wood pickaxe compared to a Buildcraft Quarry at max speed (or some other mod-based automated mining tool). This is causing actual issues with power generation. If we want AI to take the next step, we'll likely end up needing to hook up the processing centers to a nuclear generator directly, or suffer regular blackouts due to power consumption.

I agree with your worry though, because it is becoming ever more difficult to spot when something is made with AI, and the mere possibility of video footage being AI-generated or AI-manipulated (AI-based editing tools rather than plain generation) casts doubt on ALL video footage by default.

Not, I'm a bit old for that (well into my 20's), though I'm technically still doing self-study to finally get some form of tertiary qualification (honest warning, even if school work is boring as hell, skipping it because you understand it doesn't help you, because if you want a college degree you'll need to be able to learn to grind through the boring stuff that you WILL need).

I mean, how do I vote if my schooling was 50/50? Like, out of the 12 years you're supposed to spend in primary and secondary (not counting kindergarten), I spent only about 6 attending an actual school.

I'm morbidly curious to see how this is going to end up. Most live action versions of cartoons, anime, or non-realistic games tend to be rather bad, and Minecraft itself... Let's just say that I expect the CGI team will get just as much of a workout as if they'd decided to animate the whole thing from scratch with the actors only providing voice and movement.

I have several worlds that should be great practice material:
    https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/the-twisted-crater-nether-empire-terrain/

    https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/gt-astara-5k-x-5k-survival-map-minecraft-1-19-caves-amp-ores-free-download/

The first is a nether terrain, though it is located in the overworld because of the height limit. It's very dark, so it would be a challenge to do lighting correctly.
The 2nd is a large terrain map that's full of interesting spots, feel free to pick any area. These maps are public, hence why I don't mind posting them in the comments instead of messaging. I'm perfectly capable of large-scale terrain renders with Chunky, but more player-perspective is something I still have some difficulty with.
All I ask is that if you end up using any of the resultant renders in your portfolio, that you mention the terrain was made by me.
In return I ask permission to use your renders of my work in my own portfolio, with of course the relevant credit.

Also, based on the renders you showed, I have a bit of a tip. Consider putting a weak spotlight directly behind the camera, aligned with its viewing direction. That way, whatever the camera focuses on will be slightly lit up. It should be very weak so that it doesn't overwhelm any other lighting, and isn't too noticeable (A large whitish spot with dark surroundings is a bit too obvious). You could tweak the color of the lighting as well.
Alternatively, if you're going for a larger-scale shot, a weak area light behind the camera might work too.

Apart from that, experiment with directional lighting and sun-based lighting if that's available. For the water, perhaps look up a tutorial for 'subsurface scattering', that's the 'method' used to simulate 'partial' transparency (rather than just being fully transparent, or reflective). That way even if it's completely flat it will still look like actual water.

Apart from that, good luck and I'm looking forward to what you come up with!

Under the assumption that we're talking noticeable harm (as in, harm that you can actually notice in the normal course of life or discover with normal medical checkups, not harm on the individual cellular level), a single piece of thin sewing string, about twice the length of a finger. It can be used to sew a small hole in a piece of clothing shut. Too weak to strangle someone with, far too thin to choke on even if it's all knotted up, a compact knot made from it is small enough to be filtered out of the eye to the nose the way a small fly could be. Since it contains no information or significant identifiable features, there's no possibility of emotional damage.

Is it possible? In theory, yes. In this universe? No.

Ok, so the comment I originally posted was a way of testing what the word limit was for PMC. It appears to be something like 10K words (or an equivalent to 10K words in characters, since it was 9730 or something. I initially put in over 100K words, because I could just paste the same 15K-word text in over and over again.

But after posting, it got cropped, and when I opened it for editing again it was 'merely' 9700 words.

So that's the approximate word limit, I wonder if anyone can reach that without copy-pasting a text from somewhere.
Just a few chapters from most books would easily suffice.

Good luck finding a castle on this site, my friend. There's thousands of them.
The 'map viewer' thing you're referring to is something PlanetMinecraft does automatically if a .schematic or .schem format is provided. So you can filter on schematic downloads.
Do you remember how old the post is? If you remember the year, you can use the 'time machine' search filter to narrow it down to that year, and combined with the 'schematic download' and the term 'castle' (as well as the 3D art, land structure, interior and a few similar tags), and you'll likely only have a few dozen pages to dig through.

Tiny chance someone else remembers it off of that vague description of yours though, unless there was something particularly memorable about it.

I mean, bats are an entity not an item, but I do agree that they serve no practical purpose.
Most useless, I would honestly say Arrow of Night Vision. Why? Because unlike Arrow of Water Breathing or Invisibility or Swiftness, it is not something you will benefit from shooting your allies with.
Strength and Resistance arrows can be worthwhile for an ally under attack, in theory (tradeoff in damage given or taken vs hearts lost), while Water Breathing can in theory be used to save someone from drowning while you're still far away (as well as mobs). Invis arrows are useful to quickly hide someone from a distance, though that too is very questionable.

It's just.. Night Vision for 1 minute is worth basically nothing, and imo much more expensive than the other non-health-affecting arrows.

First off, what is "A shader"?
To put it in simpler terms, a shader is a set of instructions for how to turn game geometry as it's written in code into something visible on your screen. This could be something as simple as making all green pixels in a texture display as red, or something as complex as real-time weather effects: Cloud shadows, 'godrays' (visible sunrays through clouds, treeleaves, windows, etc), rain drops and puddles, blocks getting 'wet', 'dew' effects (ever seen a field of grass covered in dew when the sun rises? Tends to look really pretty), fog that is affected by wind and/or player movement, etc. Those are all rather complex to simulate purely in shadercode, and this involves a LOT of mathematics.

If you don't actively like mathematics such as trigonometry, geometry, calculus, vector algebra and the likes, then making shaders is going to be a chore for you.

    HERE'S A LINK to a beginner's guide on shaders.

And HERE IS A LINK to a site called 'shadertoy' which lets you experiment with shadercode.

While neither of those is directly geared towards Minecraft, you should be comfortable with the basics of making shaders before you start making an actual shaderpack.

Final note: I do not have any personal experience, but I do have lots of low-level knowledge when it comes to Game Design. It's like knowing the recipe to bake a cake but lacking the skill to use a whisk, knead dough or any of the other steps required to actually bake that cake.
