If I were you, I'd 1. upload it to Curseforge Worlds > https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/worlds 2. Once it's accepted, copy the download link 3. Paste the download link in the Alternative Download box in PMC and call it a day
What kind of mod are you trying to upload where the limit would need to be increased to 1000 Megabytes exactly? That's quite large for a Minecraft mod.
The most downloaded technology mod on Curseforge is Tinker's Construct. It's total file size is 3.84 Megabytes. Applied Energistics 2 is 4.35 Megabytes. Botania - 14.2 MB Orespawn - 16.7 MB Resource Overhaul (My mod) - 908 KB
You could argue that if a mod were to use a decent amount of large textures it could reach close to 1000 MB
You may be right about not needing Optifine, I'm used to the atlas being 512x512 as per older versions.
I ran in vanilla and still ran into the same issue:

Would you recommend I take off the Adfocus link until later? As of the moment, there appears to be a major difference between people who click the PMC download button, and those who legitimately download the mod.
If you leave the page without downloading, please let me know the reasoning. I'm a creator myself and would really like to know so I can adjust my tactics for the better.
For people who know nothing about programming and don't plan on learning, it is good. Though it does produce piles of crappy mods, people do not have to download them.
For anyone who wants to become a real programmer later in life or make good mods, MCreator is a very poor choice.
I have heard of them. However the only legal means to get a pirated mod taken down is through either the developer themself, or someone authorized to represent the developer.
