Application for Moderator
What is your ingame name?jacobm1122
What is your timezone? CST (UTC-6)
What is your email address?i would prefer to retain that.
How long have you played our server? I have gotten on for a bit. It looks like it is still in the beginning. I would gladly help with all the work that it looks like it needs.
Are you currently a staff member on any other Minecraft servers? No, unfortunately. I am looking to gain experience as a moderator.
How active are you/will you be on our server? An hour minimum a day, but if it requires more time than I currently have, I will step down.
Maturity Scale 1-10: 9. I know when to be serious, but also have a fun side.
Moderator Experience Scale 1-10:1
Do you have any previous moderating experience? If you have, may we know the server IP? No; I am wanting to gain experience.
Do you understand giving players items and not obeying the rules will result in a Ban / Demotion? Yes, I do.
Have you ever disagreed with a moderator's action? If so, what would you have done as a moderator in that situation?: Not so much in game, but on a different forum, I had a post removed for violation of a rule. I thought it was a bad decision on the moderators side, but decided to let it slide, because arguing would have only made it worse. If I was a moderator, and saw another moderator being unfair, I would go to that moderator to attempt to resolve the issue. If further action is required, I would go to an administrator to solve the problem.
If there are a few players began spamming what would you do? Give them 2 warnings, or whatever is usual, and then a temporary mute. If they keep spamming, I would kick them.
What do you think a Mod should do as their most important job? A good mod should moderate the players, settle disputes, etc, but also form friendships with the players. Their most important job is to make sure that the players feel at home and accepted on the server. The sign of a bad moderator is if nobody likes them because the only thing they do is enforce punishments, rather than enjoying the server and making friends, while still upholding the rules.
You have banned someone, but another moderator disagrees with your decision and lifts the ban before the ban time you have set has ended. What do you do? In this situation I would go straight to an Admin/Owner and describe the situation, and respect their decision on the matter.
If you warned a player about swearing/griefing, and he disagrees what you said, what would you do? I would first make sure that I was enforcing the correct rules. If so, then I would explain exactly what the rules are in relation to the issue at hand, and if he continues, I would do whatever the procedure is for that situation. If I was wrong, then I would immediately apologize to the player and admit my wrongdoing.
Do you have skype? If so, what is your skype name? Jacob112200
