It seems like that's the only option available now. It's a shame the original site is gone, I really enjoyed using it.

Wheat is indeed a grass, as are barley and rice.

There's a difference between taking inspiration and copying. Try to study what the artist is doing and how it works, not just how to replicate their unique creations.

I unironically like jungle. It has a lot of neat blending options with other blocks.

I may have nostalgia bias, but I prefer the original style. It just feels more "Minecrafty" to me. Things aren't smooth, which makes sense in a world made up of cubes. Of course, there were things that could be improved on (netherrack, nether quartz ore, etc), but I still liked the general aesthetic.

I'm also willing to bet everyone who voted for Programmer Art has been playing since before 1.14, lol

I use GIMP as well, and I have color palletes set up to match various materials, in all their shades and variations. That way, if an item is made of a certain material, I can easily reference the colors associated to it. It helps a lot, and I don't have to keep opening other files or risk having inconsistent colors. :)

Hi! Two months late, but I made this if you still need it. :3

My favorite is the blue orchid pre-1.14. I don't know why, I just liked the old texture better.

I may be 2 months late, but I've got a concept for a relic pack. I wanted to make it myself, but I'm also making a resource pack, so I want to focus on that. I have a list of relics, their features, and the structures attached to them, and I could also make textures for them. :-) Some examples:

Piglin Crown: Gold, quartz, and netherite crown. Rarely found in Bastion chests, and greatly decreases Piglin Brutes' aggro range.

Chorus Harvester: End stone axe stained with chorus. Found in end cities and in underground Enderman lairs. Allows the collection of chorus flowers when chopping down a chorus tree (they normally do not drop unless you break them directly)

Alpha Blade: Has stone, iron, and diamond variants, using the pre-1.14 style. Found in an Alpha Ruin (one per world) as a stone sword, and can be upgraded at a smithing table with the respective resource blocks. It has the same swing speed as pre-1.9, and breaking grass or leaves gives Alpha variants with the original bright green shader.

    >Alpha Ruins would be generic, destroyed houses made using only resources available in early Alpha, and would be surrounded by Alpha foliage.

I have more ideas already written down, and I'm certain I'll come up with more. :-)

I definitely see what you're saying. Not everything with the "Minecraft But..." naming convention is a lazy pack, even though I might be less likely to look at it just due to my bias. Stuff like the "Minecraft But You're a Fish" pack is fine - it's silly, but creative and unique. The only thing grinding my gears here is how much space the non-creative, copy-paste packs take up.
