Somebody can lock this, i figured out my own problem.

Apparently at some point i had copied the minecraft folder to my dock and was putting the downloaded folders in there instead of the REAL minecraft saves folder. I simply deleted the wrong folder, placed the downloaded folders in the right one, and pow.....everything works as it should.

I have texture packs working, and skins working.

Installing projects still DOES NOT work. My folder for my personal saved game has the exact same stuff as the downloaded projects and they are all in the saves folder. The ONLY one i can see/play is my own.

Does anybody have any other solutions, maybe settings i have to change? This is just REALLY frustrating!

Yep, discovered all that. It's not the issue.
