    I LIVE AND RETURN AND OMG IT'S BEEN SO LONG

    Figured I'd come back here for a little bit, almost finished a story I originally wrote about this website and made a new and improved version.

    Shame half the people in it are gone now.

    Sorter is done for the moment so I can finally find the things I need and decided to make a Bread machine. This is a quick and dirty thing that puts a seed, uses bone meal, and then breaks it and I'll make improvments later.

    Probably going to do something with obsidian pipe, water, and pistons. I feel like I'm making some big accomplishments in terms of becoming technically knowledgeable.

    After many grueling hours, I've decided to finally start a sorting system. At this point, I usually just have a Destruction Catalyst and call it a day. Have been forcing myself to play with buildcraft and industrialcraft mods to overcome my fear of stupidity.

    It's not that I don't like them, I just have a hard time figuring out how A goes into B and to make it more efficient. I'm getting the hang of it and hoping to make it look prettier and maybe get it easier.

    Got a quarry, my starting area is looking like swiss cheese right now.

    Loaded up my Tekkit Classic world and decided to do a bit of upgrading to my power since I had a couple of sollar arrays.

    Got to LV, need MV for mining laser....kill meeee.

    Finished Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars bringing my backlog down to 39 games left. I have not made much progress, but when I'm playing games that require all my skills it's not that big of a surprise.

    Apparently the game had an update that broke campaign which made playing Normal Difficulty as bad as Insane in some parts. Luckily, I have played a number of StarCraft 2 missions on Impossible giving me some level of ability.

    Still, that was hard to the point I knocked it down to Easy just so I could get through.

    Now, though, I am now in the territory feeling less like I have to play and more that I want to play. It only took about 4 years to slog through most of them.

    Got to the Nether, spawned in an area that is, without fail like everything else in the game, a nightmare of navigation. I'm on an island of netherrack far above lava and the only way down is gravel stairs.

    Try to make a new portal, links back to the first portal.

    FFFFFFF why is Nether tether still a thing? Why are they linking like this still?

    At least you came through on an island that gives you some room…

    I like to make my first portal high to try to force the nether side as high as possible and stay away from lava, then construct a portal that links back where convenient and go from there. (As I tend to travel mainly in the attic, coming in highlike this works well. I also have a procedure for building stairs down through open air if needed.)

    Two hours in and already have full diamond gear. Not sure I like how nerfed they become to be almost as valuable as gold.

    Taking a break from the backlogs and decided to play Modern Minecraft since fireflies are finally coming back.

    Oh. Deer. God. What even is this game anymore? I dig for nearlyan hour to reach bedrock. I think there's just a bit too much now. So amy different colors of fencing and stairs and blocks and tools and trying to find even iron is a nightmare. Every island is like a mountain.

    Send me back to Alpha!

    Against my better judgement and need to clear the dozens of other games piling high, I've bought The Coin Game. I haven't felt absolute childish glee like reliving my childhood of coin pushers and skeeball.

    Against my better judgement, I've bought a copy of Learning Python in the hopes of pursuing an old hobby.

    It may be futile, but given how much effort I've put in the last year of finally finishing things that I have started and put down numerous times, I'm certain that I could go all the way.

    Might not be the prettiest or most functional yet I will break through that brick wall. I mean, I finally dragged my behind through the Codecademy course and have a pretty good understanding of coding in general even if I might not completely understand.

    Always chase and catch your dreams, no matter how big or small.

    In much the same way that we used to use cheats such as Invincibility, unlimited ammo, and all weapons, this is akin to me having just a little fun and more than deserved treat of doing something that goes against the grain. While I would have loved to cover everything, unfortunately there isn't a Creative mode and all inventory edit mods are defunt.

    What you see is pretty much my entire supply of TNT I've crafted by hand. Rougly a stack and a half. Could have farmed more, but I think this is more than enough.

    Thank you, Notch, for so many wonderful years of entertainment. This isn't the end, only the beginning of the next chapter for me. Now that this is done, I can move on to other versions and other games.

    Update post: IT WORKED!!!! I have no idea how, but dear god I'm happy that it does because my other option would have been to scour the entire map blindly looking for dungeons.

    I've never been so excited in my life. Sure, I could have done this months ago yet I wanted to wear out my world a bit before doing something drastic. Given I'm just missing the green disk now, my museum will be complete in a few hours assuming that I can get the green disk to drop as well.

    Got a functional mob farm going. Needs to have some things worked out like knowing the spawn rates and the like, but it'll do for the time-being. Not the prettiest or most efficient, but once I get what I need, I'll find a guide to make it better. The wool there is for me to be in range for things to spawn, there's a hole for the mobs to look through so they will fall into a water trap that sends them down to near death by falling.

    It's neat trying to figure out ways of doing things on my own instead of always running to youtube or here to find something that was probably playtested for hundreds of hours.

    Hm, I wonder what they'r building here? Could it be a new megastructure or testing out some fencing ideas? Maybe it will be that warehousing they wanted so they aren't going around trying to find some random item that's buried in one of the dozens of chests lying around.

    Whatever it is, hopefully it'll turn out alright design-wise. Since I have a couple of days off, going to be working on some projects and hopefully find those music disks. My current plan is probably making some crude mob farm using a box and some water and just praying for some AI luck.

    For the first time ever, I've finally used up a diamond pickaxe in my Alpha SSP. I've always either lost it through dying or made a new world. This is a great day for me because I'm over my fear of wasting items for the most part.

    Back in the day, I was so perfectionist that I would constanly start over if anything went wrong even in the slightest. The older I've gotten, the more I accept that failure isn't always the worst and sometimes losing things helps you find others.

    Despite that, I'll still be using stone pickaxes in the nether because netherrack will chew through even my 2 stacks of iron block supply in minutes.

    It reaches the height limit which always puts the modern game into perspective. Might dig out a chunk (16 x 16 to bedrock) but I have done that before so it is a waste of time and exhausing to do. At this point, I'm going to just work on improving my building and redstone skills since those were a few reasons for going back.

    Tower of the Sky is almost done. Just need to add a bit more glass and a chest on top. Will post pictures tomorrow. Found another dozen diamonds or so in my wanderings, have far too much iron, got a bit of gold, and still no luck on music discs.

    At this point, I might make a giant arena made of obsidian and hope for the best by luring skeletons and creepers around. Should I use a guide or think it might be a waste? I could just keep caving until I find more dungeons, but I'm getting exhausted blndly going around.
