You never truly experienced "Modded Minecraft" if you never came across a Candy Cavity cave, from the Alex's Caves mod... That gum worm is pretty scary at first (and annoying! ;)).

New avatar? No, not really... My previous avatar was made many years ago by an awesome (!!) player called Baby_Creepers_Rule (though she did change her name a few times) and make no mistake about this: I am very much grateful, still am, and it was an awesome time to use.

But... Here's the thing: my casual online avatar? It's this one. From Discord to Unix fora, from Microsoft to the Minecraft (official?) fora. I've been asked one too many times if I was really me, about time to make it more official.

Although it's not one of my favorite mods I can't help but agree that it sure looks cute! Here Aya sat her little maid down to talk about.. something? Seems she's having a bit of a temper tantrum ;)

Some of the best mods... are server sided mods! 😎 Anyone know "Yung's Better ... xxx" mods? (better dungeons, mineshafts, fortresses, etc. ?). Fun fact: You can use 'm pure server sided, no client install needed!

Meaning?

Yesterday Aya & me have reset our Minecraft world (after having played on it for approx. 19 months). Well, she did not expect whole new looking mineshafts while our mod collection remained fully the same ;)

Finally... it seems that the heatwave is somewhat coming to an end. I'm not coping well with it, but at least I managed to survive.

You know what really (somewhat) helped? We adjusted our Minecraft sessions a bit. I let the Spore run amok (= invasion mod which I'm gonna write about soonish) and we started playing in a cold biome all the time. Just thinking about how cold and uncomfortable it must have been for our characters sometimes really got my mind in the right mood ;)

Bloody heat in the Netherlands is killing me :( Aya & me recorded our first video last night, using OBS Studio (seriously impressive software!). Just showcasing our world/server, our collection of mods and emphasizing just how awesome modded Minecraft is.

And oh dear... today we played it back... lol... it was the most boring, monotone droning, unenergetic video we ever saw... Sure, I know post editing is a thing but nothing is going to fix that trainwreck. First thing Aya told me shen she heard herself back? "You are NOT posting that, right?!". absolutely not...

Here's hoping the weather is going to get back to normal soon... pfffff

OMG, my gf just got me / us (!!) new bluetooth headsets💓... and I did NOT see this coming (Logitech Zone 300's, black for me, pink for her), not at ALL. She even faked surprise when the doorbell rang (Aya, you sneak!!).

Heat is killing me... I love writing but I can only hold my focus for so long, actually just got up from a nap on the couch because... Gf suggested videos: explain through voice, show them what's up (I have an Ultimate license for Corel prodcuts, which includes screen recording software). Commented that my webcam doesn't have good audio, maybe I'll worj this out? She had her own plans ;)

So I guess I'm going to try and make some videos? And yah, I don't know how or when or... , but trust me: I'll be darn sure to give back the love which PMC has always given me.

I would like to take this time to thank PMC staff for allowing us users self-regulation on comments. But having said that: spam, and talking down to PMC is an insta-garbagecan-clkick for me.. just saying.

A mods biggest & best feature you ask? Simple: co-existence: respecting already established mods (even if those aren't widely popular (yet?)), then doing your thing and doing it well! The obvious result: more mods which us players can enjoy at the same time!

123 mods should be enough for the both of us (= Aya & me ;)). We've been building this collection for years now, and we think that the addition of 'Create:New Age' is the thing that really completes the pack. One way to find out!

Oh the irony... some players are looking forward to the new "peer to peer" system in Minecraft 26.2, but all they're really getting is more control over their own games; better watch your language: cursing or "flirty talk" is against the TOS afterall. Meanwhile... /publish is all you really need to hook up (I mean your games! ;)).

I would like to applaud PMC staff for their "No-AI policy" (link). This hits close to home for me.. because I actually enjoy writing, I write small essays (and lose hours) without blinking and what do you often get in response these days on "other platforms"? "Oh, must be AI!".

So yah, I am very happy to see that PMC is now telling such people: "put your money where your mouth is!", in other words: if you think that my stuff is AI: you should report me. Done!

RIP our server (lol!)... I should have known something was up when my friend Aya asked me if I could help move her Create ironfarm by 5 blocks to the west. Yups: exactly within the chunk borders, so now she could mark that (claimed) chunk as "forceloaded" so that it'll always produce iron, even when we're not around (but still online).

Consider supporting your favorite mods! Last week Aya & me decided to both pitch in and support "a certain magic mod" which we both adore, this week we have other plans ;) You know what I love about certain mod authors? They don't want to make a big deal out of supporting, and we can really appreciate that. We didn't pitch in because we hope to gain something from it, heck no, from our POV: we already gained something cool: one heck of an awesome mod! For free... while it still changed our game in an awesome way. That and that alone was why we did what we did. What mod? How much? None of your business ;)
