    Have an assignment where I have to research a resistance fighter from any point in time. I have a couple people I'm thinking of doing but I'm having trouble picking. So far I have

    as options. But I will likely end up finding more fighters to look in to

    Best bet would be to clear you choice of subject with the assigning professor, as once you get an official Okey-Dokey your sure to be good to go.
    [Actually, clarifying the scope or range of an assignment is generally a good idea – and the assigning professor may drop some pointers that didn't make it into the official announcement.]

    Protesting and stuff I think also counts you as a fighter because you fought against something and resisted it even if you never actually took up arms. Also, I likely won't be doing anything for the anniversary as I'm from Australia and if I wanted to do something special to do with my country, I'd pick one of the Aboriginal fighters I have on my now updated list

    Also depends a lot on the definition of "resistance fighter": AFAIK neither Harriet Tubman nor Benjamin Franklin ever formally took up arms.

    Pro tip: if you're struggling to get someone's attention, call them a pet name. I have a friend who gets distracted really easy and when I can't get her to pay attention, instead of just saying her name I say "[​name], sweetie." And she whips her head around in shock to look at me every time. Attention caught.

    Ever since I got my glasses, one of my classmates has been saying "You're a wizard, Audrey!" Like every time he sees me. Today, one of our mutuals came up to me and asked, "How likely is it that he'll call you a wizard this period?" and I said, "Probably like 100% but hopefully not."

    A few weeks ago, one of my 'friends' stole my idea for my art project. I then sat there and watched as the teacher praised her for the idea knowing that none of it was hers. I spoke to her about it, asking if she could come up with her own idea because I'd been really excited about the one I'd chosen, and she told me she wouldn't and that if I went through with doing it, she would have our other 'friends' tell the teacher that I'd stolen it from her, to which they agreed. They told me the teacher wouldn't believe me because there was five of them and one of me.

    The wonderful thing about art is, every interpretation is different. I wouldn't let some bullies push you out of your idea that is your own, especially if you can do it better than them.

    You probably already know, but you shouldn't even give them the time of day if that is what they are willing to do over a school project. Who knows what they would do if it was something more serious.

    I've already come up with a new idea, completed it and turned it in. I'm honestly happier with my final project than with what it could have been, the main disappointment was that some of the people she'd recruited were people I used to consider very close friends.

    Didn't go to school today because my dad woke me up at 7am and I thought I was dreaming so I didnt get out of bed and went back to sleep and he was like ok whatever, I'm gonna be late if I don't leave so I guess she's staying here. I then woke up again like "OK, that was a weird dream but it's time to get ready for school!" So I checked the time and it's 10:30am (90 minutes after school starts) so I was just like "Oh damn that wasn't a dream."

    Just seen the Michael Jackson movie with my ma who was a Michael SUPERFAN as a teen. Like, I'm talking massive posters so big you could see it through her window from the driveway, merchandise galore (a watch, a wallet, a calender, so much more. Her room was just Michael), a Michael Jackson scrapbook, all the records, etc. Anyways, safe to say the obsession is back. She wants to go see the stage show which I am more than happy to see if we can get tickets because I love musicals, and she wants to download all his music and stuff. It's so funny, she's just like me in the way she gets obsessed with things. I'm pretty sure I'm set when it comes to birthday gifts this year lol.

    As someone who was alone for most of her school life and now has a bunch of friends, it always shocks me that I now have so many people who care and actually notice when I'm feeling down, even when its the slightest little change in personality that gives it away. Like the other day I was really upset and I walk into English class and immediately I've got like seven people asking if I was alright. I never had that before.
