PMC/Discussion Need Help For Quick way to learn JAVA***

IamNoob, like others have said Java is not a simple language to learn. What makes it harder is that 80%+ of the Java Programming Community is adults and they don't like to "spoon-feed" their knowledge. If you truly want to learn it's going to take years to just become semi-intermediate. It isn't something that takes a week. It's trial and error. It's lots of banging on the keyboard out of frustration.

In other words, you're going to have to learn Java out of trying it yourself. The only possible complete guide to Java is the Java Tutorials (http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/). But those aren't always straight forward and take great patience to read through and understand.

Anyway, I wish you good luck on your programming journey. I hope you do well!

That's not even valid Java, and you expect to be able to write mods? *slow clap*

Anyway, I suppose I could help out here and there, but I have my own projects right now (who doesn't these days?)

I'm 15. I have Skype. I can code. I have several years experience with programming in general, and Java is a piece of cake, so that's no problem. I haven't modded much, but I'm currently working on a mod that I'm not bothering to explain here, and it's coming along pretty well so far. It's on GitHub, too. Hooray, open source.

And BTW Code Academy doesn't offer a Java course. You were most likely taking the JS (JavaScript) course. That will not help you out here. There are similarities between JS and Java, but over all they are pretty different. If you're applying to be a designer, the spot's still open.

Well I haven't spawned in many weird places, but umm.... My weirdest would have to be......... Well there was that when on my friends server he made a booby trap that when you spawned there were stupid pistons that kept on constantly shoving me around so quickly and fast I couldn't break them. I still grief him for that . By the way we got rid of the trap. So I can't show you because we use are server quite often and change the map so don't anybody ask me for a server IP. I'm not lying and just take my word for it. It was weird 0_o

Be Like me and by a $1,000 PC with an AMD FX6300 Radeon HD 7870XT 8 Gigs of RAM and a Sexy Cooler master case with blue cold Cathodes inside. IT EVEN HAS A WINDOW ON THE CASE.
