- That would be nice.
- *Agreed
- *I think Nether already lags enough.
- Alright.
- *Agreed
- *Coming soon
- What is your resource of that?
- *Rather carriages, because chariots are commonly used for racing.
- *Idk
- *I think Minecraft would be too easy then.
- *That would be good.
- *Already exist(?)
- The Cloud Forest Biome does not exist as it is.
- *Imbossible
- How?
- *Stronghold already exist.
- The strongholds are too small and some of them aren't generated completely, i.e a few of the rooms may be missing/ entirely separate from the rest of the structure.
- *Agreed
- *Idk
- *Indeed!
- *Umm... no
- Why no?
- *Maybe
- *Stained Clay already exist.
- I know, but not stained sand.
- *Rope and chain ladders would be nice. Rope traps (tripwire) already exist.
- With rope/ chain items, more varieties of traps could be used.
- *The summon command exist
- * Wut?
- Can you really tell me that you've never wanted to saddle/ control a spider the way you can, a horse? The spiders are big enough to carry skeletons and zombies after all.
- *I think diamond is good enough.
- Alright.
- *Obsidian doors would be too heavy to open. However the fences would be good.
- The iron doors are too heavy to open without a lever or button..
- *Agreed!
avrona Maybe the Woodbeast, since they added both Strays and Husks but no Woodbeast.

I mentioned that the game would get awfully boring without updates. The new features don't really impact how you play significantly one way or the other, but it affects the world itself and how you view it. My opinion on this is nothing more than opinion, however, as the subject matter is almost entirely subjective, so this may be something we just happen to disagree on. I believe that a lot of it is infringing upon the player's creativity by, essentially, creating more and more of the world for them. While it doesn't affect anyone, I certainly don't feel like I can make up stories for my world or feel like I'm in a unique place anymore.
GreystalkMojang can't make everyone happy.
As for your second point, the sentences preceding it explain exactly how they could help make most people fairly happy. Add in world generation options for it. Don't Starve implements this excellently.
I've never had any real issues with mainstream mods that add this content. Dungeon/Mob mods are generally incredibly simple to install and use. Laggy isn't even possible unless you're only playing modded multiplayer. Bugs can definitely be a problem with certain mods, but with most, they are well-documented and workarounds exist. Many modders are quite helpful and do their best to fix these issues if you bring them up. You rarely get game-breaking bugs with simple mods, regardless. Beyond this, the issue isn't that they're too similar - it's that modders could easily create the content, if not better content, and often do.
Mojang has the capability to implement systems modders are not capable of making. I mention this in the post as well. Modders cannot, for example, allow all players to wear skins with extra 3d layers, no symmetry, and different arm shapes. Mojang could, and they did! It was an excellent change that helped out everyone a little bit, even non-skinners who wanted to wear cool skins. Mods to enhance playermodels exist, but not everyone uses them and thus not everyone can see yours, and this is the main problem I have with this "mod-like" content. Mojang can do better. For similar amounts of effort, they can bring in new systems and helpful quality of life changes to help all players, something modders aren't capable of doing. Anyone with basic knowledge of modding can add in a basic structure that has some unique mobs.
GreystalkLike I said, Mojang can't make everyone happy. There are always gonna be people who don't like the new content.
Ultimately, this means nothing, and is just a way to dismiss dissenting views. We can agree to disagree if you don't see where I'm coming from but I'd ask you to at least try. Being dismissed like this and having what I say almost entirely ignored is really disheartening.
KintraCall me oldschool, but I want to agree with Candlevera in that Minecraft lost what made it fun and turned it more into a toy box for Map creators. I like content in my games and I love a lot of it, however there is a point where you should question, "Does the game really need these?"
Now you got Llamas which are essentially another horse with some stylistic changes, cursed gear, and not too long ago they removed the recipe for the Notch Apple.
The base game of Minecraft, to me, has become such a mess of random items and changes that what I found fun in it is lost in a sea of things that I don't find fun. No I don't want to cross oceans for 10 entire minutes to find another island. No I don't want to wait for my cooldowns to kill a skeleton who can keep me at bay due to knockback. I have no use for the Observer block as I'm stupid when it comes to redstone.
It's nice they're willing to listen to the community, but really they need to weigh the necessity of such additions. Let me put it this way, would you still play, I don't know, Pokemon if they suddenly added guns in it so you could fight team rocket a different way? How about instead of being able to catch them, they remove pokeballs and you have to use treats to earn their friendship.
I actually think the changes to help mapmakers such as command blocks and the new redstone mechanics are definitely a good thing. They're not flashy, but they are unobtrusive and helpful content rather than "Okay, but seriously, why?" There's a strong case to be made for their existence.
I actually think the new additions go strongly against the theme of creativity. I think a more abstract world is ideal and adding all of this is damaging that theme quite strongly. This is a super subjective viewpoint, though, so I expect plenty of reasonable disagreement.
I do agree, though, that they really need to start weighing the "But why, though?" factor of new additions. It's basic game design, and really, common sense. Don't fix what's not broken. I can respect them trying to change the combat, even if I personally find the changes distasteful, because at the very least they were trying to fix something many players had complained about. The disgustingly poorly built end cities are an unforgivable travesty tho.
One of my big issues is a lot of the "But why, though?" content doesn't fit together. I may not like how it seems to be damaging what I like in the game, but if they actually made sense and fit together, it could be understandable. If it was more cohesive, it'd make sense, but at the moment it's an eclectic mix of long trails that lead to... Well, basically nowhere, really.
