Why should I ask you a question? What makes you important or interesting over someone else?

Ask your parents to proof read what you post online, before you post something like this again. Jeez kiddo.

fluctuating 30fps isn't playable, even a steady 30fps is hard to play nowadays. And absolutely nothing will run on a Pentium I... It doesn't exist lol.... You probably meant the first Pentium, on the P5 architecture, which no it wouldn't run Minecraft, because good luck getting any OS or driver support on such a old chipset, nothing to do with the performance itself.

Run Minecraft on a Ryzen 3800x, with a ATi R100, and see if it will run good :)

Neither is more important than the other, this is a stupid question and the age old myth of Minecraft being a CPU only bound game is still around, so it seems. Back when it came out, it was super unoptimized and would abuse your CPU, now thats not the case anymore, and offloads a lot of the workload onto the GPU, like it should have from the get go... Also CPU's have came along way since 2009.

"with the right settings" aka, lowest settings possible with optifine. You can't even run the vanilla game as a pleasant frame rate, what do you guys not understand about that? You can run GTA V on a GT 710 with mods to lower everything to make it "playable", doesn't mean that it's okay because of that to skimp out on the GPU.

100% a connection issue, especially if discord is affected as well. Possibly need to restart your router/modem and maybe get your ISP to run a connection test on your home network, could be an issue that could be reset at their office.

It could seriously be 100's of different issues, and no solid way to pinpoint exactly what it is... You can start by playing with your routers settings, maybe the router is having a hard time staying on one channel and keeps switching to a busy channel and causing a slowdown... Really could be anything lol

Of course, but again run this game on a low end GPU and it won't be a pleasant time, as I've stated numerous times now.

I would assume that's what he meant, but for someone that "knows what hes talking about" should know how to word it better. And you can't run a PC without any form of GPU, there would be no way to display anything.

You cannot play Minecraft without a GPU, it's not possible lol.... The textures don't matter, the fact that the game is very un-optimized is why you need an okay GPU anymore. Sure you can get 150fps on the shortest rendering distance with optifine, but you're also running a UHD 620, which is a decent iGPU, comparable to a AMD HD 7750 of the years past. But again, look at any hardware logger and see the load on your GPU and CPU, and it will tell you everything you need to know.

Also, I think I know a little bit more than you, lol

Any and all advice given without knowing your specs are useless, we need those.

Any background programs running? What are your specs? Have you tried other games and see if it drops there?

Well it's a subjective question.... Overall, Windows 10 is the best OS out currently for gaming... The biggest reason being due to the fact that every game on PC is made to work on Windows, versus a UNIX based OS, which may or may not have support. That alone makes it the best for gaming... But if you don't care about Windows only games, then any lightweight LINUX distro is the "best" due to the added performance from a very undemanding OS.
