There has only been one time over my two year tenure on minecraft where I have adopted a major role on the server. Also, it has been my most recent server. The server is called YeahCraft, but it would be pointless to give you the IP as it is offline indefinitely right now as we fix some rather serious plugin bugs. That does not mean I do not have a reference though. His skype name is agustin.sanchez81 but he prefers to go by Ague. He is a Co-Owner on the server and will answer whatever questions you may of of me regarding character or ethics. On the server, my role that I initially applied for was Administrator. I helped introduce new players to the server, made small building corrections, and kept the server running. In just a day, I was made Head-Admin. My roles included moderation of chat, spawn building, occasional banning, and economy managing. I worked hard, and eventually was promoted to Co-Owner. Here my duties increased to World-Editer, McEdit importer, and major building. I loved every minute of it and hope to continue this trend of your server if given the chance. I read above that you do not accept Worldedit as a viable source for builders. That is understandable and respected from my point of view. The following link is to my imgur where I have posted a few of my builds that I hope will help strengthen my case for building duties:
http://mrmistro.imgur.com/all/I am a very motivated, enthusiastic individual. I love to be in the center of things (In a good way) and help out wherever I can. Related to staffing, I handle stress very well. I understand the importance of player-staff relations, and strive to keep the balance. I play alongside them, but can adopt a stern and business-like attitude whenever the need arises. Stress does not seem to bother me, and I cope with it very well. I can put my feelings aside, and do not get hurt over the small things. I can always see the big picture. I am patient with most players. I get along with nearly all of them because in reality, I am one myself. Not a lot of things get under my skin. I am an easygoing person so this is tough to answer. The worst thing I think is very young players that expect others to do everything for them. There is only so much that staff can do for a person before they are on there own. I guide players, but will not hand-hold them through all situations. If a younger player is sincere, and honestly needs help with something, then I will help out. Other than that though, I am adamant.
Having played on over 20+ servers over the course of my minecraft life, I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I didn't want to be just a player. I wanted to have the chance to make a difference helping players learn the ropes, just as I did years ago. Then this attitude evolved into a more creative position. I wanted players to look up to me for my building skill, and leadership qualities. I worked my way up through staff ranks across many servers until I came across YeahCraft. It gave me a different sort of vibe from other servers. The staff were/are amazingly kind and open. They gave me the courage to push myself to their level. I do not think im there yet, but i'm certainly trying.
Yes I believe I am mature enough to deal with people of those sorts. I have in the past made the necessary steps to mute, kick and ban hackers, trolls and rule-breakers. I am very open with the person responsible and make sure they know the full extent of their actions and the consequences involved.
