Invasion of ractus lacertae
(Named after the ocean of which all conflicting forces border, the Druwyr Ocean)
It started calmly, like most storms. Silent assassins sniping isolated individuals, then cleaning up their mess. Then at the closest to exact moments- All hell broke lose. A squadron of bombers from the east destroying the main part of town, only for 32 of the to 100 bombers to make it out for one last one, leveling the eastern town of Uaklin. Simultaneously from the west many caravels were sinking, while more were bombarding the western town of Gerla. The ships engaged the ractus navy and battled it out, about 190 v 400. The Nurovian tradition makes the forces about equal. The naval battle lasts for about an hour. The rest of the Dekoni ships land and release their troops.the troops move inward on the island via stone path, raiding small towns along the way to the capital, which Milkadon had just reached with their assassins. The assassins take out the guard towers secretly and steal gliders. 500 assassins glide throughout the above ground part of the city, killing anyone outside. The now 3 bombers sail towards the capital city only to be taken down the ractus air force. The air force also takes out the assassins in gliders. Right now the deployed ractus air force is ~700 incluiding all CREPITUS dracos. The 2 attacker armies have mad it about halfway to the capital, Milkadon's now reaching in I caeli terra ractus' main airfield town. The 21,200 man army starts attacking the airfield destroying many planes useless on the ground. Some planes make it up and start bombing/shooting the army from above. Now any planes that have not taken off have been destroyed, all that remains is a smoky barren stone town. The ~ 400 planes continue to bombard the army down to a size of 7,378 before being taken out finally. Now both sides of the island have been ravaged, but the armies are growing weaker. A ractus army of 20,000 engages the western Dekoni army of ~20,000 - The only difference is that it is all Dekoni, but it is just a portion of the ractus army. The naval battle finishes with Dekoni winning, but with 28 ships left. The army is told to retreat before there isn't enough room to bring the troops back. The army, currently in a fight, has ignored this information at the time being as Dekoni tears through ractus troops, definitely being the most decisive battle of the invasion. The 19,345 man Dekoni army marches straight to the capital and raids, destroying what was left of the above-ground portion of the city. The bombers that took ou the assassins had recieved orders to take out the advancing Milkadon army, which they did pretty well at reducing their numbers to 2,390 before having to turn back and stop the raid on the capital. Milkadon retreats to preserve their manpower. Then at the capital, the magic wielders arrive. The Dekoni army is unfamiliar with this and is beaten up, losing 5,000 men. they have to retreat, only slightly touching the underground capital. The bombers are able to keep up and bomb on Dekoni until they reach their ships, which start firing at them. All in all, this was a Pyrrhic victory for ractus. The south was mainly untouched, which is now leading the reconstruction of ractus lacertae with their agriculture.
