I believe a sticky was specifically made to stop people from posting servers here.... I believe you are in the wrong section.Simple mistake, but still. Or, I could just be misreading things here.

OK, so, you moved computers. say goodbye to that port forwarding. Each computer has a different internal IP, which you need to portforward to. Check the internal ip of that computer, and portforward to that ip. Then try getting people to connect. Or--- you could make things easier by buying hosting from KOTE Marketing....

The odds of a server owners updating plugins is slim, but possible. I run several servers, courtesy of KOTE Marketing, and some outdated plugins work, as the above poster said. Citizens broke down for a while, but some plugins like Lockette still work. It wouldnt hurt to try it on your server. If you dont have a server, consider hosting from KOTE Marketing, where we make evrything easy!

Hmm.....

Not necessarily, but you could work with a flash drive you guys could trade off.... Have you considered paid hosting? KOTE Marketing does it for cheap, and we have one slot left. Maybe that would be a good alternative, since you could just email us when you want changes made to the server.

Advertising is a BIG problem for most servers. Hosting servers, I do PMC for my clients, but some servers just don't stick. You need to be involved in your server, welcoming everyone, and making them feel welcome. After that, it gets easier. I'm no expert, but I almost always have 3+ people on my server, and some active players. Running a server can be hard, and it's not for everyone.

Pokemon may attract a few people to your server, and it may draw a few people away if it is too Pokemon. But, its your little kingdom to rule over, and I actually get the most people on my server when I made it the was I wanted it to be. No factions, no PVP, just Towny. Factions, I wasn't really into. If you want Pokemon, plenty of people will think that's cool, I'm sure, so go for it! I do know some older Pokemon fans, though.
