Born in the slums, he have to hunt to put food on his family's table. Honing his skill of the bow and sword, he became a well renowned hunter in the slums as well to some nobles. He later joined the King's army and fought in the Grand War. As the war ended, he was left with 1 arm and bled on the field. Troops walked over him as he called for help as if they were ignoring his nearly dead body. As he closed his eyes for the last time, he heard a voice, "Do you wish to live? Or die as the King wishes". Like an oasis in a desert, he said, "I wish to live," and the mysterious stranger regenerated his arm from the small stubble. "Join the Rebels," he said, "Take down the kingdom of that wretched king and redeem yourself as a proud fighter, fighting to gain back his old kingdom." Knowing the signs of necromancy, Illios took the mysterious figure's offer even though he knew it was the spell of evil but he knew some good mage's practicing necromancy for the good of the people so he trusted him. He ran into the slums, took as many men who are rebellious as him, as well as his and their families, and took off to the Rebel's base.
