I doubt they'll ban you, if you take down the offending content. And I like to use MCSkin 3D. Very good.

Lag isn't minecraft, it's your computer. I suggest adding some more RAM, which you can purchase and install on your computer. After I got 32 GB of RAM, I can run FRAPs with a 512x texture pack at about 70 FPS.

I have PS3 and 360, and I prefer 360. LIVE doesn't get completely hacked, but individual accounts can. PS3 has cool titles as well, but you can't beat Halo
