CyprezzFor now, I'm switching the default view back to recently updated while the word spreads about the top list as well as providing more time to tweak / balance the system. I've made the top list menu item blazing red to draw more attention though. We'll see how everything plays out.
Honestly, people are going to be unhappy whichever one you have set to default. However, I would like to make the point that the top list rewards very well put together servers while recently updated does not.
We gained maybe 4k new players over the week you had top list up which helped us immensely. We have spent over 5 months developing our server content and finally had a big base to play our balanced gameplay. Now that you have switched back to recently updated, we can update once a day and get maybe 10 new players from this website. The whole time, the small servers with very little infrastructure, and more than likely poorly setup gameplay, are the only servers who can benefit atm since they are fine with deleting their thread over and over.
I do not see any reason for you to wait to switch over to Top List as default. By switching back to recently updated you got the hopes of all the people who love that system back up, and eventually you are going to have to dash that hope again. If this truly is the direction you want to go in, I say commit to it fully. The small servers who love the old way need to simply make a server worth playing on, and then advertise like everyone else. Gaming PMC recently updated is not the solution. Switching back to Top List as default fixes that problem.
