    Too late, CreeperSoul

I'm just going to sit back and watch, reserving judgement for now. Too difficult to know for sure what will happen next.

Looks nice. But I was more impressed with how you were handling the controls! I haven't played Pocket Edition for a while, but back when I tried it the controls were difficult to master. You look like you play it often.

I was wondering the same thing. Looks like they may have removed it now.

Also - your signature made me laugh! Nice one.

He only just joined the site. I don't mean to offend you Pr0Pancakes99, but I wouldn't trust you

Crysis_3 - could you explain what you mean by "nothing is working"?

    • Does the server start up at all?
    • Are there any errors in the console? (If so, paste them.)
    • What did you expect to see if PermissionsEx was working, and what do you see instead that makes you think it's broken?

Never give strangers access to your server, unless you have complete backups and they appear relatively trustworthy. And never give root access to the server itself.

Thought I'd hop on and take a quick look to see what you've got, but I'm getting a connection timeout.

That is indeed an interesting pack. Unfortunately, I have never seen it before - no idea where you'd find that resource pack.

I use a similar method on my server, but I wrote it myself. Perhaps if I'd noticed this earlier, I could've just used yours instead

Java was designed to be as cross-platform as possible, and to work on very low-powered devices (including your washing machine).

Being cross-platform means that everything runs in the JVM. Native code will always have an advantage.

I believe Java has actually been pretty successful, and runs reasonably well, considering.

We've had some users report issues, but for the most part it seems fine on 1.7, even without changing many settings.

I probably have a more powerful laptop though. You sound like you are running on something pretty low-end, especially if you're still using Windows XP. It's more than 10 years old!

My suggestion would be the same as Sargewood's - try disabling vsync.

I am not so brave as to go hunting for them deliberately, but if they wish to face me, so be it. I shall cut them down, along with their aim-botting skeleton friends that back them up from the next sand dune over.

    Survival, for sure.

Although it's nice to occasionally try different game modes as a break from the main game.

We will never know. Solution is to ban them, and continue having fun playing the game without them.

If you are playing on a server with such people, use whatever reporting system they have to inform the staff about that player.

Nice work on the banners so far! Looks like this thread is closed, though. Did you decide not to create any more of them?

Random players that hop in and ask for OP on new servers, claiming to be from PMC, is the first way I heard of the website. As a result of that, PMC unfortunately has received a very bad reputation (despite it not being PMC's fault).

Having eventually hopped onto the website, my opinion has changed somewhat. I've seen plenty of intelligent discussions in the forums, and a lot of people come here on a daily basis.

I'm starting to visit the site on a daily basis myself, both to promote my server & to take part in the forums.

That tweet was posted more than 22 hours ago, and the application is still in the store.

    Definitely a publicity stunt.

I've been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.2 (3 years ago), and running my server since Beta 1.6 or so (2.5 years ago).
