Backstory: (What did they do before they became an elemental?) When Eliza was 5 sher had an older brother she was very close with. His name is Andrew and he was accepted to the school also. He turned it down though to reedeem his father who died. Andrew left in honor of their father and hunt the man that killed him. Before he left he told Eliza if she ever got accepted, go. Dont follow him. She hasn't heard from her brother since.
Now she got an acceptance letter in the mail. Her mother is hesitant because she is becoming seriously ill and growing old. She wants her daughter to stay but knows this is the only chance for her to become even more powerful than what she is. Eliza is torn between going or staying with her mother. Eliza has never really left their little home because her family is in poverty. Eliza wants to go though...
