I started playing Java edition in 1.7.10, but I played Pocket Edition for about a year before that in 0.8, when they didn't have infinite or flat worlds, there was no caves, and instead of a nether dimension there was a nether reactor that spawned a giant netherrack mountain in your world.

I agree vaccines are good, but this is seriously just a circlejerk. Nearly all the comments are bashing on antivaxxers, making the same old tired antivax jokes, and a few of the same reasons for why you should vaccinate. There's a few good posts that show evidence and studies, but those are the exception, and even then they're nothing new. If someone still believes vaccines are bad despite all the evidence showing they're not, then we're not gonna change their mind by yelling at them and congratulating each other on how we listen to our doctors.

Because the bible really isn't a good source of scientific information.

I don't think it's that irrational. We haven't experienced the diseases vaccines protect us from, but the "risks" conspiracy theorists claim they have are something we have more experience with. Most people probably don't know anyone who's had to suffer from polio, but I'm sure most people have known or at least have heard about someone who has autism. But it is ridiculous to deny all the evidence that vaccines are very helpful and that they don't cause autism.

I don't think it was the natives that saw it as magical, if I remember it was the buyers from Asia.

Also, I think if you really wanted to fix it, you would need to provide other ways for poachers to make money. The reason they kill animals for ivory is because they need money, and that's what gets them money. But, if there were better ways to make money, then poaching wouldn't really seem like an option anymore, and most people would stop doing it. Of course it would still help if people stopped believing it had healing properties, but I think the root of the problem is just that poaching makes good money for the people doing it.

I don't think the green would really disappear. People like plants, trees, and grass, and you still have a lot of green in suburbs. Can't say about natural forests though, I guess you would still have national parks.

It doesn't, but if a site is called Planet Minecraft, I don't think it's rude to expect people to stick to talking about Minecraft.

Like I said, human growth is slowing down, and has already stopped in western countries. Obviously, iron doesn't grow back, but we could get iron from sources other than earth, like asteroids or other planets. Plus, there's recycling, so we could probably reuse most of the iron we have collected. We could probably do the same with most metals and other resources.

Besides, iron isn't as much of a problem as lack of food would be, so even if we began to run out of iron, it wouldn't be the apocalyptic scenario that overpopulation is portrayed as. Not saying it would have no effect, but it's just not as bad as overpopulation would be.

Human growth has been slowing down, and with better technology it's becoming easier to produce food and feed people. Overpopulation isn't a real concern, and fears about it have usually led to human rights abuse.

    Here's an article about it.

I think it's fine that you asked here, I personally think non-Minecraft content is ok in the forums. I just don't like it when people seem to think that PMC shouldn't be Minecraft-focused.
I don't know a website that would be good for this kind of question, the only one that comes to mind is Reddit, but it has more mature members, so I don't think it would be the right place to ask about a crush. Also, it seems like you already got plenty of answers, so I wouldn't worry about it.

But it's literally called Planet Minecraft. Would you say an anime forum should allow posts about British TV shows, or a DIY community allow people to discuss Fortnite updates? I don't think PMC should have a total ban on non-Minecraft content, but if the title of a site is Planet Minecraft, It's rude or crazy to expect it to remain Minecraft-focused. There's a whole internet out there for you to talk about what you want to, it's not like you're limited to PMC.

I agree, adfly links suck. I remember when I first got and was learning how to use a computer, I unintentionally installed a bunch of useless and annoying programs because I didn't know that the ad from the adfly link was an ad. Adfly really doesn't benefit anyone on the site, except maybe a few users who get massive amounts of downloads from their projects. Adfly links shouldn't be allowed as the main download. I think it would be fine if they're in the description, but you shouldn't have to view adfly links to be able to get a download.

He's not saying that the files should be hosted on PMC, what bcd seems to be complaining about is the adfly links. Adfly links don't store any content, they're just a link shortener that forces you to see an ad, the actual files are usually uploaded to Mediafire or Dropbox. Banning members from using adfly links in downloads wouldn't require PMC to host anything, it would only affect the creators who wouldn't get the really tiny amount of ad revenue from adfly.

The issue is more complicated than you think it is. For example, in the area of trash, while picking up after yourself is good, it only goes so far. You still produce trash, and that has to go somewhere. America and Europe aren't the major sources of trash either. Most of the trash in the oceans comes from ten rivers, all located in Africa and Asia. The reason for this is that these countries developed quickly, and their infrastructure and their services for getting rid of trash couldn't keep up. Investing in infrastructure in developing countries is just as important to help protect the environment. Basically, there's only so much you can do at home to really address the problem.

I voted interior decorator, because I like building interior and it would be a contest I could actually have a chance in.

Well, you could also post across multiple sites. For example, if you were to post on Reddit's r/books, which is the one I'm most familiar with, a Reddit account is really easy to make, and the sites a lot more active than PMC. You would get a lot more feedback and discussion than you could on here. So you could still post it on PMC, and on other sites to get more feedback/discussion.
