Yeah, Terraforming (although sometimes a pain) is a must. I've recently found that, posting submissions in a regular Minecraft world with custom terrain makes things that much cooler, but it takes a bit longer to make it. There's so many elements to worry about.

Either could work, although you probably just want to use normal or large biomes and edit it. However, if you want to use superflat, I recommend customizing it so the y axis for ground level is at least 60.

LordGrape(Sorry, I play a game called Virtual City and it's fun. XD)

The App? Virtual City: Playground? <3

Close, I play the original PC version of Virtual City. <3

And yes, you can never have too much in a city. AND DON'T FORGET THE CUSTOM TREES AND THE RANDOM BOULDERS. Touches like that really make people go "wow, he has everything."

@Great Butter: No problem. =P Virtual City players definitely know how to make a city lmao. (Believe me, it's mountains and mountains of work, but it'll be worth it when you see your city has more than the next guy and has more details)

Any and everything that's in your city in real life. =P Parks, theatres, emergency response centers, police departments, city halls, maybe one or two big business corporate buildings.

    Click to reveal
Specific: You could make an industry inside or just outside the town/city, like for example clothes, then you'd have cotton farms, wool farms, fabric factories, synthetic fibre factories, etc. Then you'd deliver the synthetic fibres and the fabric to the factories and then ship the clothes to the mall. (Sorry, I play a game called Virtual City and it's fun. XD) But yeah, that's a realistic production line as far as factories. You could also just combine the factories and just have two farms.

Gas station, parking garage, shopping mall, Bus/Transit center, a downtown area, office buildings for daaaays. Maybe a hotel or two, and a city attraction to spark tourism, for example a monument. Oh! Maybe your city has a major highway passing through it, make sure you have billboards and exit signs.

And don't forget the courthouse and a jailhouse.

Sorry if this is a lot, just trying to think of everything and I'm sure I've missed a lot.

*Edit: and a library! How could I have forgotten a library!

I joined in Retail 1.2.5, so far, my most anticipated update has been the Redstone Update, so that's my favourite. ;D

Don't get me wrong, I always love playing the latest and greatest versions.

I've been here since Retail 1.2.5 (June 2012) and I personally like the newer Minecraft. Just in the year+ that I've been in the game, Mojang has changed a LOT. I appreciate the small, subtle changes that most of us don't think about. For instance, the fact that you can't push people anymore (added in 1.3), command blocks (1.4), The Respiration and Aqua Affinity buffs (1.6), and the fact that while flying in creative, you don't get slowed down by things that would normally slow you, like water, lava, soul sand, cobwebs.

Anyway, I'm done rambling. I like newer Minecraft for the subtle changes and the new mobs and blocks. It would take a while to re-adjust to pre 1.5 Minecraft personally (because I'm also a redstoner.)

Lol..better graphics AND no lag?! The people who say that need to stop playing games altogether, go outside, play with a ball or something. That's the smartest thing I've ever heard. *Rolls eyes.* Anyways, for those asking for specific mods into Minecraft. You have to remember, this is MINECRAFT, y'know that vanilla world when you click single player, not that semi-laggy, plugin-filled, server you play on 24/7. Realistically, I could see a few more generated structures and I wish more things in the ocean. Not, an atlantis, but at least a coral reef and some more swimming mobs. As for waves, think about that for a moment and how much you will frames you will lose due to the physics rendering, then say that again. As for RPG stuff, use your imagination, you don't need something built in for that lol. You can pretend to be a king on your own. As for recording equipment, lol heck no. Spend some money, buy your own. I personally love space but you don't see me saying "OMG JEB, TAKE US TO THE MOON, GIVE US SPACESHIPS AND STARS" I'm being realistic, I know this wouldn't happen. xD If I wanted all this, I'd build it and make a custom map and texture pack to roam free in. Also, heck no to furniture. I actually like having to be creative in making houses with bathrooms and kitchens and lamps. If you give me couches, you just take a bit of my creativity away. This is a SANDBOX game for a reason, not super plugin-land. Anyways, enjoy 1.4 while you can. !
