I remember when I was little, and I loved going on to PMC to see all the new cool maps. I would download maps on my own without any tutorial or walkthrough on youtube, so I ended up disappointed when maps I had downloaded and that I was excited for didn't show up in my worlds because I put them into the resource pack folder.
And if I can share another thing, this year I stumbled back on to an old Minecraft World I once somehow got to work. I applied to be a builder on there and actually got through, so now I like to think that I met plenty of people and friends all because of PMC.
