This is what a stress test that went too far gets you. There's a lot of stuff hidden behind the scenes with my datapacks I'd love to share, but most of them are just too boring to see.
This is a bit less boring than all the code design and infastructure behind the stuff I'm making currently though. (PS: Now I need to design a case to prevent members in servers from causing this to happen to server owners.)

Update to the situation: The money icon in the downloads section is gone (thank goodness), but it's still visible in the Collections tab. Nevermind, all good now!

Boy did I not imagine waking up this morning to be horrified by the sheer amount of links I may have to change because of what would otherwise be a nice and simple site update. I've counted at least 300 links across the last two years of making my stuff I'd have to change otherwise, and many more in the near future as 1.20.3 is coming.

Thanks Paril and Cyprezz for a: having started PMC, b: having kept PMC up and going for all these years, and c: having listened to the people who use the service.

Also, go ahead and show the post some love - asides from the side-effects of the update's execution on me personally, the reason behind it is pretty neat.

Paril Are you sure my downloads fall into the "Monetized Download" category?
I use Patreon as the hosting service, sure, but if you have tried my downloads before, you'll know that they are actually free, so can there be an exception for my case?

For this case I simply can't let it stand - I let it slid before when Patreon links are highlighted but I can counter that by clearly stating a massive FREE DOWNLOAD by the button. But this? It's in the title, and there's nothing I can do about it.

To add insult to injury, there's also a money icon in the download button that's been clearly stated before that it's a FREE DOWNLOAD, and the link itself is also working against me.

I really hope I don't have to change all the download links I've made for the last two years on the site just because of this change. That's a lot of links to edit, a lot of time to find a new file hoster, and to trust it that it's rules won't change on me as time goes on. Not to mention that I need to know for sure that PMC doesn't flag those as Monetized links too.
(Also, I'm not using the site's base file hosting service - it always changes my filenames)

I find it funny how items with the Owner tag (which normally prevents other players from picking up others' items) can easily be picked up by any mob with the ability to do so.
Pretty sure it's a bug but I find it funny regardless.

Quick update here: I've recently started a Survival Server with my datapacks enabled, Chat Reports are off. I'll also be using packs that are not yet available to PMC in this server, so if you want to take a look at the new stuff yourself, IP is in my Discord.

As of right now, all my datapacks are ready to play in 1.20.2!
It's been a long journey to get to this point, and I hope you've all enjoyed the new updates.

I think that you should all know this: All crafting stations except from the Crafting Table aren't affected by the doLimitedCrafting gamerule.
That might include 1.21's new Crafter block so you can actually circumvent crafting recipes with it. I find that a bit broken honestly, but I don't use this gamerule all that often.

The riding on pig stat feels fake to me. That's 915000 blocks on a pig.
I don't know about you but if I had to use a Saddle for something, pigs are usually the last option. Then again there might be some map that offers a ton of pig riding and that could amp up the stats, but still.

My thoughts on Minecraft Live:
- Being one of those people whose timezone sits at midnight when it goes Live (and practically all the Minecraft Snapshot updates for that matter), I always have to play catchup with the latest events.
- But it also meant I got to skip past all the ads for the other games held within Minecraft Live (and the thing where they’d leave the Mob Vote results to the very end of the event to keep people watching said ads), so there’s a good thing from all that too I guess.
Speaking of the Vote: Wolf armor won. Can’t say I’m surprised.
- Penguin’s the obvious lost cause as faster boat speeds isn’t really that useful if it takes the extra boat slot (also makes Chest Boats entirely useless, too). It’s the Glare of this year’s Mob Vote.
- Bedrock players already got an insane attack range so they’re not voting for the Crab.
- There’s also a lot of people who wanted wolf armor for the longest of time, so there’s a huge boost going that way too.
I can only hope that there’s more than just a simple wolf armor item made of scute that’s being added. Details matter, and details are what we never got when it comes to these Mob Vote options.
Speaking of details, I did notice that Mojang didn’t announce how many players in total that participated on this year’s Mob Vote.
Really makes you wonder why they've decided not to show this number this time around, huh?

At least Mojang removed the condition that removes the mob forever if it lost the Mob Vote rule. Though it doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing the Iceologer anytime soon, or the bosses from the first Mob Vote. It’s a lot of effort to make a feature for the game, and even more so if you’re making something with quality.

New features:
We got a new megastructure with lots of new Copper-related blocks and new decoration blocks like Tuff Bricks. The textures for these new blocks look pretty cool, but that’s all I can really comment on these things - not much of a builder so my thoughts here are a bit limited.

The new Trial Spawner though … I really want there to be a Trial Spawner Minecart too, but that never got announced. I’ll just make one myself if that’s not what we’d get though, so I’m fine with it either ways.

Autocrafter is cool. Mojang could also leverage the Recipes system to make custom recipes auto-craftable as well, so it’ll be pretty interesting. I’m pretty sure that special crafts are a thing that’s possible too, so you can automate crafting fireworks and decorated pots, or you can even randomize the pot patterns with Droppers, so that’ll be pretty nice, too!

For all updates I'd released so far, I've also updated the Patreon Post containing all versions of that release with new details and secrets. How many hidden details have you found in those posts? (there's nothing major you should be looking at, I just like to hide some small details for those who do seek them out, ya know?)
