if the former reply is too much, i do have something wackier, so to speak - take a mob (say, a blaze) and build a huge version of it, using a different palette (say, the warden's palette, or a soul-san and soul-fire palette, instead of the regular blaze palette)

choose a random village type, and change it to birch.. alternatively: a jungle/swamp village, but in a vanilla style of building; let you imagination fly - what will a jungle/swamp/woodless badlands village would look like? how would a savanna/other biome village would look if built using birch wood? what about nether villages?
This isn't very wacky, but villages are much more sophisticated than they were before the village updates; the houses designs, the shops designs, are all unique yo each village, but keeping the uniqueness while not going overboard when trying to build a village in vanilla style.
