Am I the only one that thinks it's weird that the worst part about league of legends is League of Legends and yet everything else it's based around is great. Talk about a come back

Do you ever get that feeling when you come with a conspiracy theory. Then you look into it and it turns out that there is an actual possibility that it is true and you just feel like you're the smartest person in the world.

So I've seen people on PMC talking about the election results. And I just want to say..... Were going to be fine.

I am a Christian and have Republican- moderate beliefs (or at least I hope I haven't done a test for that) but I really don't like Trump's characters and some of the things he has done in the past. So to everyone on the other side of the political spectrum there is no need to panic. When people say that this is going to be "the most historic election ever in our nation history and this will decide the fate of America" that not true 99.99999% of the time. I have study a lot of history, politics, and now how our system works to now that the government is designed to prevent any one person from having to much power. So I just wanted to tell give people some form of comfort (hopefully) and remind that it ok. It takes a lot more than that to destroy this beautiful country called America.

(Note: I'm I the only one that wishes America had a more multi-party process)

If you were to read some conservative commentary, you would find the concern is that all three main branches of the government all largely democrat/liberal and will act to thwart the will-of-the-people.

Polarization has reached the point where all too many people do not even read/listen to the positions of teh other side (much less exchange views/debate).

Again contrary to what is often portrayed, one can find calls for working within the system that were published prior to the 5th – at least some from each of teh two main sides.

If it bleeds, it leads is an old description/indictment of the news 'biz', but a similar sort of criterion seems to apply to political coverage.

There are checks and balances, the scary part is most of the other branches are also mainly republican making it easier to pass more conservative laws

    My bad opinions

    Electoral College

Welcome to my bad opinions where I share my bad opinions on things like books, movies, media, historical events, and some political.

Now for people who don't know what the electoral College is it the process were America choose it's president. Each state has a electoral votes based on how many seats that state has in Congress (2 senator + how many representatives they have in the House). Now, these elector are not part of Congress. They are chosen by the state. Who ever gets the popular vote usually gets all the votes in that state (except for Maine and Nebraska) These people the ones that are actually doing the voting. They usually goes with the state but there some that goes against there state these are called faithless electors. This does happen rarely and they usually doesn't make that much of a differences. The number of require votes is 270.

There is talk about whether or not to get rid of it and switch towards a popular vote. I think that we should keep the electoral College because it for starters even out the vote. It gives less populate state a voice in elections and makes sure they are payed attention. This system does make individuals vote more valuable that individuals vote in other states but they even out. For example, Nebraska has 6 electoral votes and Texas has 40 electoral votes. An individual Nebraska vot is worth 4 time more than an individual in Texas. But it takes 6 and 1/2 Nebraskas to even with Texas electoral votes. The help prevent voter fraud because since we are not decided surely on popular vote. You see, in every election there is always going to be some form of voter fraud it's bound to happen. But instead of trying to have an election without any fraud the electoral College prevents that by raising the bar for fraud votes to make an effect on the election. A thing you got to know about American politics is that it isn't designed to make sense it's designed to work. The Founding Fathers were really wise men when they formed America but they were just men. They had flawed and made mistakes and we should always strive to make it better. And remember this the problem isn't the form of government but the people in the government.

Now this is just my opinion and I would like to here yours.

(Note: I do lean Republican so I might be a bit bias. Please correct me if I made any false information.)

    Here's a little about me.
I'm 26 and have been a PMC community member for 12.5 years.
I'm a Christian and a Conservative. Before you scroll past, hear me out.

As one of the maybe "older" (not sure if that's the right word) members of the PMC community, I've seen a decent bit come and go in terms of how people react and behave to certain posts that are in the political and religious sphere.

It's for this reason you won't really see a political or religious post from my account (with the exception of this one).

In the Minecraft artist community, I very much feel in the minority, being a Christian and a Conservative. While I know there are others out there, we don't speak up as much about this kind of stuff. Maybe it's because I've seen other zealots spew hate or react violently to those who disagree with them and the response is (rightfully) very negative. I'm not really sure to be honest.

What I do know is this:
I will not choose my politics over friendships and people I care about. Just because we disagree on certain things, does not mean I don't love or care about you. We can disagree and still be friendly and do fun stuff together.

If you've had poor experiences with Conservatives or Christians that were hateful or hurtful - please know that we're not all like that.

I continue to hold my biblical ideals and virtues but remain open-minded to civil discourse and friendships. Hope this doesn't rub anyone the wrong way. Y'all rock 😊

    My bad opinions,

This is a series we're I share my opinion on things like, show, movies, books, political events, and historical events.

    Gladiator

I absolutely love this film. This is by far one of the best films ever. This movie almost reminds me one of Shakespeare's history. Another things about this film is it lack of CGI. Don't get me wrong there is CGI but is use way less than today movies. Wish movie companies would follow this. The acting is superb in this movie and the cast is stacked. Would highly recommend you see. (Warning it does have a lot of blood and pretty brutal scene. It also has a lot of adult and mature themes so definitely ask your parents before watching)

But hay disagree with me comment down below and give some other things you want my opinion on.

So today my mind wonder to the ending of LotR, part where arogorn says to Frodo that he bows to no one, and I was like where did that go. Hollywood, specifically Disney, has been having problems and can't make a good story anymore. What do you think happened to cinema and do you think we will ever go back to the age like LotR.

Ok someone just needs to say this because it needs to be said. If the person that wants doesn't get elected. I know for a fact that we'll...... Be ok. Because that what America is. Just because one side gets elected it doesn't necessarily mean that America going to end. Come on we survived a war against the most powerful military in the world at the time twice. Go through a bloody civil war. Go through a great depression, won two world wars, defeated communism, and you think that one election is going to ruin it all. Politics and voting still should be looked at and study but come on. We've had elections like this before and made it through just fine.

So I was reading Luke 23 ESV and made me question something. Now just for context Luke 23 records Jesus being taken to Pilate to be questioned before Jesus is sent to the Cross. Pilate says that he see no guilt in this man (Jesus) but they people wanted him to be crucified him. So Pilate gives in and sent people to be crucified. This made me have this question.

Are government ment to give in to the will of the people or deny it.

What are your thoughts on that.

Welcome
