Minecraft/Discussion I need some survival tips to finding diamonds

XxPython1337xXOk, so i am playing on Mac Lion OSX and I was wondering if anyone has some tips that I can have to finding diamonds, especially when i don't know what layer i am on. Thanx

Find Surface Caves. Then from there make your way down to the lave. Mine Around the shore off the lave. thats where i usauly find meh diamonds.
