well Java edition was originally created by Markus Persson also known as Notch. Later in 2014 Microsoft bought minecraft for around $2.5 billion. Java edition was the original edition of minecraft created by Notch wear as Bedrock edition was created by Microsoft to work across multiple platforms. Java is also made to work with mods texture pack sharders ect. while keeping great fps. honestly the only good thing about windows is the ease of access to play with people in a private world.
