Can't agree with you more there, there always have been, but there were enough new and nice people that joined the drown them out, while Minecraft was at it's peak, servers got huge fast, where now, the player count is not growing as much, and all of the whiners have figured out they are not going to get OP when they ask for it, so they try to start there own server, which will last no longer then a month, and they realize it takes more then opening a server to get players.

I don't think this is a good idea.. However, I wouldn't mind changing my name.

People want staff, clearly, but do not want to earn it, therefore are only being selfish, they do not care about the server, they just want personal benefit.

Also it is quite clear smaller servers are struggling and are dying off fast, small servers typically have a good community, but the small servers are being bulldozed by the huge mega-networks, like Hypixel, Minecade, and Hive.

Minecraft is general seems to be going downhill, people are moving on to better games.

In my opinion. You have to WORK for something to make a server fun. Ranks is a very nice way to do this. When you log onto a server, you don't want to already be the highest rank you will ever be.

I don't play on any minigames servers or anything. My favorite server type is Survival-Creative. You start in survival game mode, and work your way up by doing something. Then you get /i and /fly as you rank up, and at a point, creative mode.

That is kinda how I run my server, and how I like Minecraft servers.

That is just my input on things. :3
